Well, Farin doesn't seem to be around, so we'll get the NEW Top ten started.

WELCOME TO THE SONGFACTORS' CHOICE TOP TEN #38. :headphones:

EVERYONE IS MOST WELCOME TO BE INVOLVED IN NOMINATING AND CHOOSING "THE SONGFACTORS CHOICE TOP TEN" !

ALL YOU DO IS:

* Nominate two songs from 1950 to the present that haven't made the Ten before (please click to view Every Song That's Made The Songfactors' Choice Top Tens )

AND aren't currently in the Songfacts Daily or Weekly Top Tens.

(They are the Main Charts - this is supplementary to them).

SO THERE'S NO MISUNDERSTANDINGS, NOMINATIONS OF SONGS BY ARTISTS/GROUPS WHO'VE REACHED #1 IN OUR TOP TENS ARE FINE !

* When nominations close, choose your favorite Ten songs in order of preference from the Final Nominations and post them on here. Points are allotted 10 for your #1 song, 9 for #2, Etc. and our Top Ten is compiled from them.

PLEASE LET US HAVE YOUR NEW NOMINATIONS NOW !

OK, here's mine.

I was going to nominate a Rolling Stones' song, but I think edna may have one in mind. Wouldn't it be great if we had 50 + different Artists/Groups nominated ?

Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2) - Pink Floyd

Happy Jack - The Who

Goodnight all you Top Tenners I can see online now. :)

Thank you, Darryl... ;) Yes, I´ll nominate one dark and old but also one of the best Stones song...

1- Tell me - The Rolling Stones

2- They don´t know - Tracey Ullman. video here...

Dang edna!I'm here early this time, and I was going to do the same (though different song). A rather old and possibly darker stones song!! S'ok, 'Tell me' will get my vote, and I'll save mine for another time. That was only because I'm reaching into the dusty cobwebby corners of my mind this time. I've got to listen to more music just to remind myself!!

I continue with my (unrealistic?) goal for a 90's #1

since last weeks try was a almost complete failure, I'll try it with some calmer, thought provoking songs:

Trouble ~ Coldplay (Video)

"Oh, no - I see

A spider web's tangled up with me

and I lost my head

the thought of all the stupid things I've said"

my favourite Synthi-pop song:

Enjoy the Silence ~ Depeche Mode (Video)

"All I ever wanted,

All I ever needed

is here, in my arms

Words are very unnecessary -

they can only do harm"
