MarcM Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 48 and raining sideways. waiting for the hills to give way the next town over. Its ugly.
Heimann47 Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 We just got out of a cold spell, and the temperatures have settled into a comfortable low to mid 60's range
Lucky Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 You have any tornadoes near you Lucky? We are dealing with mud flows here....waiting for some serious mud slides with the next storm. Almost 500 houses are to be evacuated tomorrow when the rain starts. These are all houses that almost burned down a few months ago from The Station fire. Yikes. Nope no Tonadoes, but it is bad. I mean really bad. Roads flooded, mudslides, people stranded in their cars, power outages. It's crazy. Almost like home. I do feel badly thouhg, a lot of people are really struggling for one reason or another because of this rain. And it's not done!
Lea Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 Nope no Tonadoes, but it is bad. I mean really bad. Roads flooded, mudslides, people stranded in their cars, power outages. It's crazy. Almost like home. I do feel badly thouhg, a lot of people are really struggling for one reason or another because of this rain. And it's not done! You guys have been on the news a lot in the past two days. I hope no tragedies happen there. I think the world has had enough of those to last us a lifetime
MarcM Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 cold and damp. 70% chance of rain tomorrow, a couple of days of no rain, then more rain. I am taking my Jeep out this weekend to meet with 22 of my closest friends to go out into the desert. Should be fun.
MuzikTyme Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 It's gotten a lot cooler my way in the last couple of days. Monday the high was 60 degrees F. Today, Friday, the high is only expected to hit 30 degrees fahrenheit. (yes, I can spell it but it's so much easier to write a "F"). I don't know but a 30 degree drop in less than a week wasn't meant for things that live long. I could be wrong.
Uncle Joe Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Not so cold but we're expecting at least 12 1/2" of snow Friday night into Saturday. Certain conditions can result in 23" or more. No thank you, please.
RonJonSurfer Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 UJ, I heard this storm is taking that southern path again...we are expecting around 6 inches of snow (which is really nothing)...but a foot plus is significant....
chutzpah Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 in the 50's, lots of rain...and into the 40's tonight
Jenny Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 No snow predicted up by me as of this morning. Where I live, a foot or so can be handled easily, though, because we usually get a lot of snow. My sister lives in Jackson and often has to work weekends, so for her sake, I hope the snow isn't so bad. Ocean county's road system is not so great....
Uncle Joe Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 The snow is steadily falling (since around 5 PM) and they're now calling for 14-20 inches in Philly and 18-24 south of here in Delaware, South Jersey.
Earth-Angel Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 Cold. Again. Light snowfall again at night but it is determined to stay away now
RonJonSurfer Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 The snow is steadily falling (since around 5 PM) and they're now calling for 14-20 inches in Philly and 18-24 south of here in Delaware, South Jersey. We ended up with about one inch of snow...90 miles south, UJ is getting rocked with snow...a little south of that...DC got even more....I bought food as though I would be trapped inside today...may as well enjoy it..
MuzikTyme Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 We've...lol...I have gotten almost twenty inches of snow since last evening. It's still coming down like a cloud of white crystals trapped in a tornado... I'm thinking I'll get almost thirty inches before the sun finally shows its bright face again.
Lucky Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 So you're the one that takes all the bread & milk! A good snow day is nice .... unless you have to be outside in it. Stay warm everybody!
Uncle Joe Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 The final count for Philly is 28.5" and it's currently 23 degrees F. The good news is...more snow possible on Tuesday. Wheeeeee!
RonJonSurfer Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Bread and milk...nah...this was nachos and oreos. Oh yeah, and beer.
Lucky Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 Oh well then, you got the essentials. I never understood the bread & milk thing. I mean, how much freaking bread & milk do they really go through?? I, like you, want goodies.
Lea Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 We've had such a mild winter here the bugs and weeks are going to be terrible this year. It's only February and trees and flowers are already budding out
Uncle Joe Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 Well, we're just our from under the 28.5" of snow and they now say there's another storm coming Tuesday night into Wednesday morning that may drop another 12" to 18" on us...and another storm on its way by the weekend. Global warming my ass!
