Farin
so it IS me... I could have sworn that the Top 4 hadn't changed in weeks (no wonder with the songs) and I always seem to notice that Panic at the disco song

Carl
I think it has more to do with our main server configuration. We're doing a major upgrade soon, and once that's taken care of, I'll try to get the lists to purr like they should.

_Laurie_
Yes Carl, they load slow, or sometimes not at all...I'm on the PC at work right now...and it's fine..so maybe it's something with my PC at home?

Elvish
I don't think there's a setting for DST. Bothers me that everything is an hour behind, so I set my display settings to Eastern time rather than Central

Rayzor
I was wondering how long it takes for a new artist to appear on the SF site? I sent artist info and lyrics to a few of her songs and there is still nothing on the site. I sent everything around Christmas I think... Carl could probably answer this question best (It was the Bif Naked stuff btw) Raymond
Shawna
rayzor - it's so good to have you back I believe I've 'splained this before, but I couldn't find the post, so I'll take another stab. When you submit facts for an artist or song, they are checked out as thoroughly as possible. If we can't find anything to support what's been submitted, then we can't support the information, and the facts submitted can't be used. If we are able to confirm the information, then the facts are re-written (if necessary) - and you will be credited for submitting them - and then Carl uploads the stuff I think once every two weeks or so. So, from start to finish can take a few weeks... HOWEVER, you say you submitted your stuff around Christmas which makes me wonder if they didn't get misplaced in the shuffle somewhere. It might be helpful to re-submit them (hopefully you kept a copy) and give the powers that be a little bump. Hope that answers your question
Rayzor
It does answer my question, thank you Shawna! And seeing as Bif Naked is not exactly mega-popular outside of Canada I can see how it may take a while to verify my facts. Thanks again, dear! Rayzor
Unfortunately I did find that all the notes I had gathered for submission to SF have all been deleted from the computer Oh well... back to work I guess!
Shawna
oooo I hate when that happens! Was it artistfacts or songfacts? I can write Carl a little note and ask him if he can check back on it...
Rayzor
I submitted artistfacts and lyrics to a few of her songs. I did re-submit artistfacts to the main board though, so hopefully I can start with the songfacts (luckily I still have the lyrics to 4 or 5 of her songs!) Farin
in my SF profile (not the forum one) I listed my city, no US state (of course), and Germany as my country but as I just submitted some lyrics I noticed that I was credited as "Martin - Rostock, -"
Farin
I got another question: could it be that only American members have the option to "use HTML" in their posts? it should be in the pull down menu in "options" together with "use markup" and "use none" the reason I ask about America is that it could be the same as with the google videos, which also doesn't work for non-Americans thank you

Farin
well google videos in general DO work for me I was talking about the video that's supposed to be on the mainpage, I don't see that one - only text advertising by google
RonJonSurfer
This conversation is floating in the ether way above my head, but you may be right about American vs. other parts of the world. Some of my IT type friends were discussing similar sounding issues and there was no real resolve.
