The Seeker Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 I actually just make them all up..... I know. I just didn't want to embarass you in front of everyone.
RonJonSurfer Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 I think they already knew anyway...
Shawna Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 there's no embarrassment among friends. And no crying in baseball.
The Seeker Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 Why does the songfish look Greek?
Levis Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 it's not Greek, it's wearing a wreath to look Roman. Because a 'forum' is a Roman concept. I think it was a centre for discussion. That also explains the pillars
The Seeker Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 Oh. Still looks Greek, but thanks for the info. And--my sincerest apologies.
Levis Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 there were four fours... *sigh* I guess my next shot will be five fives!
The Seeker Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 Like so Ah...that explains a lot. What about 4567?
Levis Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 Oh good one! i feel much better now.
The Seeker Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 See? Always look on the bright side of life.
Levis Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 I can see it all now. into the 5000s and 6000s and so on and so forth! I only have to start worrying once I hit the 8000s
The Seeker Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 Why? There's 8888, 8765, 8844 (ok that's a cheap one),...
Levis Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 fair enough... so I do have something to look forward to.
The Seeker Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 Your 8000th post ist still 3500 posts away.
Farin Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 When I change my timezone to something more Eastern (like Indian or Australian Time), then my birthday gets changed from 15th to 16th... ?? same happens with other peoples birthdays... did anybody else notice that? any ideas? or is it just me?
Shawna Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 I'll take a stab at this one and say the site is probably set on U.S. Eastern time, and when it's today here in good ol' U.S., it's tomorrow in Australia. If it's the 15th here, it's the 16th in Australia. I don't know about other timezones.
katie_sane Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 My birthday does the same...on my profile, when I view it, it says the 25th August. When I go to change it, it says the 24th, which is the correct day. I think that Shawna's right, in that when it's the 24th here, it's only the 23rd in the US. Hence people in the southern hemisphere get birthday wishes from people in the northern hemisphere the next day.
Levis Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 My birthday is on the right day and I changed my settings to make my default time zone Indian Standard Time. But I think I might be seeing other people's differently.
Lucky Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 I changed my avatar this morning. It was there, visible, no error messages or anything, and now it's gone. Is it the site, or the avatar? I only wonder, because it was there for a few hours.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 Cheech, I can't see it. I right-clicked the avatar and copied the address from the properties. Photobucket says the image cannot be found. Is that the correct address?
Lucky Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 Yes, It was there. Now it says the server cannot write the address or something to that effect. I can change it, no big deal, I just wondered because it was there for qute a while... Also why does it say my name? I've never seen that. Weird. Me I mean...
Farin Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Could it be that the Daily and Weekly Top 10 didn't change since the start of the new forum version? or is it just my imagination?
Levis Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 I think they DID change at one point. I remember after James Brown's death, one of his songs was #2 on the Daily (?) top ten.
