miamisammy29 Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 Oh, I guess it´s avery stupid one... they were related to an actress, two of them boyfriend/husband, the other just mentor... oh, now it must be easy... Who was the actress? Was it Patti D'Arbanville or Melanie Grifith...or neither? And is yours "brown", Karhul? Because if it is, then another thing in common with those three is SH*T. ::
edna Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 Yes, sammy, Patti D´Arbanville... man, I must be getting old... And is yours "brown", Karhul? Because if it is, then another thing in common with those three is SH*T. ::
Earth-Angel Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Sammy, you gonna throw out a clue?
miamisammy29 Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Sorry. I didn't think SH*T was correct...and I've having some trouble getting in. Anyway, here's a new one: What do these drummers have in common: Rick Allen of Def Leppard. (Sorry, I was pressed for time).
edna Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 They have only one arm! Right? Or they are drummers? Sammy?
miamisammy29 Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 You are correct on both counts, Edna. Your turn.
miamisammy29 Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Okay, here's a new one. What do these three dudes have in common? Joe Lynn Turner Graham Bonnet Ronnie James Dio
_jr_ Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Were they all replacements for original lead singers?
miamisammy29 Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 No...not exactly. There's more to it. Google, man, Google.
_jr_ Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Nah, that's for the ambitious posters, Sammy. If I don't know it, someone else will be along soon enough with the answer. Songfacts is my google. LOL.
miamisammy29 Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 You should know this one (you'll remember it when you hear the answer...I guarantee). Two of them are more famous. The least recognizable of the three...Bonnet, in my opinion, is the best of the three. Gotta go now, though. Goodnight, eb'rybody. Rock on, don't do crack, keep your noses clean, use protection...and all that mumbo jumbo...
windy1 Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 they were not only replacements, the bamds "made it good" afterthier inclusion.
bazooka Posted February 19, 2005 Report Posted February 19, 2005 Google, man, Google Nah, that's for the ambitious posters " I've got a great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom." ~ Thomas Carlyle Each of these guys was at one time lead singer for the group Rainbow. Joe Lynn Turner replaced Graham Bonnet who had replaced Ronnie James Dio. All of them were recruited by Rainbow's founder Ritchie Blackmore.
miamisammy29 Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 Very good, Bazooka. I thought that one would have been a little easier. Your turn to post a new one.
bazooka Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 Not for the Unambitious [*]Star Trek:The Motion Picture [*]Nighthawks starring Sylvester Stallone [*]the pilot episode of Lois and Clark:The New Adventures of Superman
Karhul Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 They all have American actors on them?.
bazooka Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 They all have American actors ... ... along with thousands & thousands of other films. Nope Karhul. My focus was a bit narrower. The common element won't jump out, but it's pretty easy to find.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 The lovely Persis Khambatta - Do you like bald women, Bazooka? Because I will totally shave my head if you want me to... :: What do these movies have in common? Tommy Goldeneye Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome
bazooka Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 For some strange reason, I got an image of the late Persis Khambatta as Deltan navigator Lt. Ilia stuck in my head, and had to find some way to get it out. I also remembered her appearance in the disappointing Megaforce starring Barry Bostwick, but didn't include that one as I felt I'd been esoteric enough. What do these movies have in common? Tommy Goldeneye Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome Tina Turner. Tina was the Acid Queen in Tommy, co-starred in Beyond Thunderdome, and sang the title song for Goldeneye. Do you like bald women, Bazooka? Because I will totally shave my head if you want me to... Velma Von Tussle from the movie Hairspray is more my style, but Put on your high-heel sneakers, Wear your wig hat on your head. Well I'm pretty sure now darling 'Cause you know you gonna knock 'em dead.
bazooka Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 tina turner? levis517, sorry I rambled on. You beat me to the punch. Please bring on a new puzzler.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Velma Von Tussle from the movie Hairspray is more my style. Did you want the bouffant with or without the bomb in it? ::
