Brad_M
Yes, that would be too easy. Thanks for not trying to use it as your answer. But if you were more specific with your movie answer...

bazooka
This seems like kind of a stretch. They all appeared in movies with the word 'Man' in the the title. Courtney Love (Man on the Moon) David Bowie (The Man Who Fell to Earth) Iggy Pop (Dead Man) Frank Sinatra (The Man with the Golden Arm)

Brad_M
I found that Lombardo, Lee and Khan all recorded a cover version of the song, "Is That All There Is", but Newman did not. I found that Newman's only connection to the song is that he composed the orchestral arrangements for Peggy Lee's cover, but that makes his connection to the song different from the other 3. Is there another connection that I'm missing?
bazooka
That is all there is, Brad. I think Peggy Lee's version of Is That All There Is . is the best known. I never would have expected that Randy Newman was responsible for that musical arrangement*. I may have heard the Guy Lombardo treatment, but don't think I've ever caught Chaka Khan's version. I could have listed Tony Bennett, Bette Midler, and others, but I didn't want make the link too obvious. *Somewhat counterintuitive as well, the song was written by Leiber and Stoller ([smaller]Kansas City, Poison Ivy, Jailhouse Rock, Love Potion No. 9 , etc., etc.[/smaller] )

Brad_M
I guess it's time for a hint. Song Title association.
_Laurie_
All have songs titled Hold On...
Brad_M
That is the correct answer, Laurie. That one took a long time for someone to answer, even with the hint. Maybe it's better to name only 3 links instead of 4, it might make it a bit easier to figure out on future posts.
