Not generally one for funny movies (like funny bits in movies as opposed to slapstick) but Groundhog Day just rocks my boat!

And if you want to go black and funny, Cul de Sac (Polanski) is hilarious, if in a bit of a wierd way!

Oh yeah American Wedding Ive seen like 10 times, its class, the funniest bit is the opening scene at the start though.. :D

How come whenever I say its 'American Wedding' people go "No-no its American Pie-the wedding" ::

Funniest movie ever ?

From Justin to Kelly, this movie sucks so bad, I died laughing. I had a tough time trying to take this corny plot seriously. Not that I actually paid attention to the whole film or anything. :o

About 15 years ago, I saw an indie movie called Zoo Radio, that was funny as hell. It was about these brothers who take over a radio station & try to get it to the top of the listening charts. It's mostly a lowbrow slapstick type of comedy, but worth the watch.

Jane, I agree about Groundhog Day. I've probably seen it at least 20 times....not always in its entirety but bits and pieces. I just can't resist watching it whenever I come across it on TV.

Back when I first saw It's A mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World I thought it was the funniest thing ever made. I find it less funny now but at the time it was number 1.

Other faves:

Blazing Saddles

Animal House

Fish Called Wanda

Throw Momma From The Train

High Anxiety

Any Monty Python flick

Christmas Vacation

Ghostbusters

What About Bob

The Hope/Crosby Road flicks

The Nutty Professor (Jerry Lewis)

Airplane...just to name a few

To this day, I still laugh out loud when I think of that guy driving the red convertible crying about his mama.

Funniest movie to me was, damn, I'll have to give it more thought.

OK, I've thought about it and while it may not be considered a movie, it was on film. I think the hardest I ever laughed for the longest amount of time was Eddie Murphy's Delirious and Raw.

I agree with Gilliann about Meet the Parents. It was hilarious.

I regret that I left "There's Something About Mary" off my list. It just slipped my mind at the time, I guess. This is one of the funniest movies ever made...definitely in my Top Ten. And an honorable mention to "Me, Myself and Irene".

Boy, that movie had me in tears. I don't know if I mentioned it already, but the 3rd Pink Panther movie. Actually 2 or 3 of them were pretty funny. The first one was more serious though.
