BlueAngel Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Well they're not doing too bad, 0-0 at the half, not much happening, yet.
Levis Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 My English twitter friends are not very happy: "ARE ANY OF THESE BOYS CAPABLE OF PLAYING FOOTBALL OR ARE WE WATCHING A NEW GAME CALLED 'SHAREBALL' #FFS!!!"
BlueAngel Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Nor should they be, 0-0 final, pretty lacklustre performances all around.
phil Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 That was a terrible call in the USA game. That kind of rough play happens all the time. That dude should be banned.
RockyRaccoon Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Here's Eric Wynalda's opinion. And I happen to agree.
Shawna Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 Another tie for Father's Day? it's actually a thong, Joe, but I suppose you could wear it around your neck if you're so inclined.
lonelyday Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 it's funny when Americans talk about football Kiwis too, the other day I was talking about a goal but said 'try' instead
edna Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 Buenas Noches, Francia. On dit bonsoir, Phil... and I'm afraid it's going to be a a bonsoir for good soon... Well, anyways, when we talk football, my heart belongs to Argentina...
phil Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 Don't cry for me , Argentina. Edna, I love the coach Maradona, because he is muy loco.
edna Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 I think he's a naught and he barely has a small peanut in his brain box -like in BF's Simpson avatar...- Yet he can play football... just as most of the kids in all the world. And almost all of the Argentinians are locos, phil...
Carl Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 Not sure I've ever seen such excitement over a tie, at least not since Harvard beat Yale 29-29
phil Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 This Italian team is a Joke. Brazil looks good, though.
edna Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 Brazil had it easy with Ivory Coast. I'm waiting for the next Argentina-Netherlands...
blind-fitter Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 The England players have spent the morning visiting an orphanage in the nearby Mbunzu township. "It's nice to be able to bring a smile to the faces of people who are poor, hopeless and in despair, with no real chance of overcoming the challenges they face just to survive", said Mafekilozi Makatete, aged 8.
Levis Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 The England players have spent the morning visiting an orphanage in the nearby Mbunzu township. "It's nice to be able to bring a smile to the faces of people who are poor, hopeless and in despair, with no real chance of overcoming the challenges they face just to survive", said Mafekilozi Makatete, aged 8. that joke is so two days ago, it's gone meta and is being incorporated into entirely new jokes
Levis Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 This tweet in response to these. You can see the Australian version here - there must be other versions.
blind-fitter Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 "Sooo two days ago",eh? Yeah, well maybe I made that joke up myself and the rest of the world just copied me, and it took two days to reach you. Didn't you notice I wasn't on Songfacts all weekend? No, cos I was too busy inventing jokes that are so funny they spread like a forest fire, that's why.
BlueAngel Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 7-0 for Portugal against PRK, ouch. I especially liked Ronaldo's funny little goal, (about time too). Way to use your head, Christiano. Though I was hoping Honduras would hold off Spain, just to create a little more drama/panic in Group H.
