MindCrime
Ordinary World is probably the only song of theirs I still like, besides Save a Prayer and the Bond theme. Back in the 80's they were my absolute #1 favorite though.

karma
I absolutely love that song and video. I know I will vote for it. Would you believe that I have that album on cassette still and it plays!!! Also could listen to that Jefferson Airplane song forever.
MindCrime
I still have cassettes that old that are in good condition and even have a tape deck in my spare car. I haven't played a cassette in over 10 years though.
karma
I jsut dug mine out and started playing them. They are still in excellent shape except for 2 of them. One of my Debarge hates me and won't play and the other is a Cat Stevens. It is a lot of good listening tho.

phil
Judge, I believe you are correct on the James Ingram song. It's from Quincy Jones's album. Also, lots of great noms this week. Edited February 23, 2010 by Guest

blind-fitter
Also, lots of great noms this week. Ye Gods! You're joking, aintcha? I mean, you might be right, although apart from Ten-Pea's nomination of "Search & Destroy", I hadn't noticed anything to get excited about. And there are some stinkers, aren't there? Like, stuff I wouldn't play to my worst enemy. My standard-raisers are: "Leeds United" - Amanda Palmer (2008) Excellent interview with Amanda Palmer in which she talks about "Leeds United" HERE "Paraffin" - Ruby (1995)

Farin
I nominated the same song with the same reference to the interview It didn't do really well, so I'll definitely don't have any problems with voting for it highly again
blind-fitter
Phew! I thought you were about to tell me it had made the Ten without me! To be honest, it isn't the song I was originally going to nominate. "Vanilla Blue" by Naked Raygun was typed in before it, and "Sex Bomb Baby" by Flipper before that. But I'm going to see Leeds United play tonight, and the interview was published this week, so, quite spontaneously, I thought I'd express a little extra support for both. (United's form has gone to pot since the heroic beating of Man United and the draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup; the League is what matters, and we need a win tonight to turn things round and get back on track for top spot and promotion)
