Lucky Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 I'm gettin' my nightly SF fix in before I slump into bed and read for 3 hours. "A Tale of Two Cities" by Dickens... I love the way he writes. It's all flowery and... English. Love Dickens & A Tale of Two Cities.
Shawna Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 it's only the second Dickens book I've read, but I really love his style. Maybe I should have lived my life back then.
Lea Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 I don't think you would have liked it Shawna. I don't think women had much status back then As for what I'm doing right now and have been doing all day, is organizing my music lists and dating the ones I want to nominate so Lucky doesn't have to
pinkstones Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 Spending time with our new puppy! His name is Theodore Roosevelt. Or Teddy if he isn't being a trouble-maker.
pinkstones Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 He hasn't cried once tonight, which is surprising. Our last dog as a puppy cried and cried for the first few nights.
MuzikTyme Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 "Theo" looks happy and somewhat confused between those legs.
_Laurie_ Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 "Theo" looks happy and somewhat confused between those legs.
TheLizard Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 That is an adorable little dog. Now I miss my puppy.
Lea Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 Right now I'm looking for a good Apple Pie recipe. I'd bet Laurie or Joe could help me out with that
MuzikTyme Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 I'm trying to imagine Lea straddling a churn.
_Laurie_ Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Right now I'm looking for a good Apple Pie recipe. I'd bet Laurie or Joe could help me out with that My mom made the best homemade apple pie, and my aunt made a pie for us awhile ago....I love to cook, but I'm not a very good baker...Maybe Joe has a secret recipe he can share....
Lea Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Pie's aren't really my thing even tho I do like to bake. Cheesecake, cobblers, cakes and cream pies are more up my alley. I found a recipe on line but the pie was kinda so so I have never made very good pies. DH should have asked his sister to make one. Now that lady knows her pies
edna Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Just came back from the bank. What I like in my job is that I'm always payed by the end of the month...
MuzikTyme Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Just came back from the bank. Par-tay tyme!!! :guitar:
Uncle Joe Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Sorry, Joann's at work. She's the one with the apple pie recipe. Q: Fresh apples?
Shawna Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Every time I told my mom about a piece of apple I'd had somewhere, or bought a frozen one at the store or something, she'd say, "I can make better apple pies than that!" never failed she'd say that. Has she ever to this day in my life made one? No. *sigh*
Lea Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 Q: Fresh apples? But of course. Right off one of our trees Has she ever to this day in my life made one? No. *sigh*
