RockyRaccoon
So I now have tickets to see The Tallest Man On Earth on October 3rd. And I am SO psyched for that. And I just now bought tickets to see Sleigh Bells. They were cheap through my college so I bought them even though I don't know who they are. I've heard of them though. Anyone know of them and if so are they any good?
TheLizard
I like them a lot. They're sort of like if M.I.A. made an album with the White Stripes.
RockyRaccoon
Yea I've been listening to them lately. Certainly interesting. And definitely sound like M.I.A a lot.
RyanTurtle
I'm going to see my absolute favorite band, Punch Brothers, in just two weeks! I absolutely can't wait! RockyRaccoon
So with a turn of luck, seems like I'm going to Virgin Freefest tomorrow at Merriweather Post Pavillion. Bands I will be seeing: Pavement Jimmy Eat World Yeasayer Matt & Kim That amongst many others. My friends wanna see Ludacris, though I'm not terribly interested in that. M.I.A and LCD Soundsystem will be there but they're the closing acts and I'm not staying the whole 12 hour festival. Pretty excited for it. MuzikTyme
I saw him at the Bryce Jordan Center, PA and it was a great show. He's a master pianist and performer. Just don't expect him to hit the high note in Philadelphia Freedom. Have fun!

_Laurie_
My two girls saw Skynyrd last year...So I asked them, of course they played Free Bird for the encore, right?...my youngest says "yeah I guess so, but we left a little early so we could beat the rush out of there"...so I said "you left during Free Bird ???that's their best song"....she says "Mom, we heard it playing when we were leaving the stadium, and it was still playing when we got to the parking lot, and still playing as we drove away... MuzikTyme
Sometimes I imagine myself as a 7 month old blubbering idiot but I can be assured if I was a child hearing Free Bird for the first time then I reckon I would've first-hand learned what great music sounds like! RyanTurtle
I just ordered tickets to take my niece to see Katy Perry . . . *sarcasm* *sarcasm*. I have a friend who is one of the higher-ups at the arena she's playing so we get to go backstage and have a meet-and-greet with Katy Perry herself. Oh joy . . . the things I do to spoil that girl . . .
