MuzikTyme Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 Little River Band and Doobie Brothers played last night ( Wends, April 22, '09) at Innsbrook, VA and I'm happy to say each band was true to their craft.
_Laurie_ Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 Cool Marcus....We're going to see the Doobies with Bad Company in July...Front section tickets also!...I've never seen either one of these groups in concert...I'm hoping it's gonna be a good show...
MuzikTyme Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 Trust me, sweet Laurie, you'll enjoy the show...weather permitting. Paul Rodgers alone shall steal the show! Rock on, have fun and most of all, be careful~
RonJonSurfer Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 Here's everything (and more) you need to know about Springsteen's show in Philly this past Tuesday night: http://www.nj.com/entertainment/music/index.ssf/2009/04/springsteen_rocks_phillys_spec.html
MuzikTyme Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Hey, Ron, thanks for the link! ZZTop is coming to Innsbrook, VA May, 14th. I'll be front row & center. Nothing beats my boys; Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard! Know what's a bit funny?... Billy and Dusty have HUGE beards but Frank "Beard", the drummer, has a clean shaven face! How's that for irony?
katie_sane Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Also got tickets for Alice Cooper in August
MuzikTyme Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 I absolutely love Alice Cooper. I've seen him three times and he DJ's a local radio station in my area! My favourite song by him is Only Women Bleed He's performing in my town, June! Enjoy the show in August!
_Laurie_ Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 That would be cool seeing Alice...my favorite is "No More Mr. Nice Guy" The Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack is going to have a series of free concerts this summer...The track is going to become an outdoor concert...sounds pretty cool....A few of the acts they mentioned are, Three Dog Night, Grass Roots, Sha Na Na, and Chubby Checker...I didn't even know Chubby Checker was still alive... ....Since it's only a few minutes away...I'm gonna check it out!....and it's Free.
RonJonSurfer Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 No doubt you'll be close to the casino anyway...go for it!
Viaene Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 John Fogerty, july 20, Belgium Does he still play CCR stuff? I'm not familiar with his new material.
_Laurie_ Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 I saw Fogerty last year....he did play quite a bit of CCR...I thought he sounded great....We really enjoyed the concert...I'm sure you won't be disappointed...
Batman Posted May 27, 2009 Report Posted May 27, 2009 just went to the Sasquatch festival in the colombia river gorge up in washington. It was amazing!
Batman Posted May 27, 2009 Report Posted May 27, 2009 I saw Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Animal Collective, Bon Iver, Devotchka, M. Ward, The Gaslight Anthem, Passion Pit, Crystal Castles, Mos Def, TV On the Radio, Of Montreal, M83, The Walkmen, The Wrens, The Dodos, Viva Voce, Deadmau5, Zach Galifianakis, Tom Morrello with Boots Riley, Ben Harper, The Fleet Foxes, St. Vincent, Gogol Bordello, Santigold, Explosions in the Sky, Girl Talk, Blitzen Trapper, The Knux, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Horse Feathers, and Deerhoof.
Batman Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 yeah the lineup was great, unfortunately there were even more bands I wanted to see that I couldn't. The Decemberists were playing at the same time as Mos Def, The Silversun Pickups were at the same time as Explosions in the Sky, Chromeo was on during Ben Harper, and I missed pretty much every comedian besides Zach. It was still awesom ethough.
