MarcM
My wife is big into the holistic approach to preventing/fighting colds and flu. Mya has actually started to feel better already after an onslaught of whatever my wife gave her. We have all been on anti flu drops for the past month. The claim is that you are less likely to get the flu, and if you do, it will not last as long. So far, it seems to be working out that way. Lea
Did you get flu shots or is it H1N1? Last time I got the flu, I was 1 hour away from death according to the emergency room docs. Since that happened I have been getting flu shots every year and haven't had it since. If I get H1N1, I won't be here to post because I will be among the recently deceased. edna
Oh, come on, Lea... swine flu is flu. Not worse if you don't have lung trouble. At least that's what my doctors said...
Jenny
I agree with edna, but on the news every night, they are making this out to be this horrible thing and scaring people all to death. Also, they're making a big show about only the people at risk should get it, and you need to sign up, yet when we took our daughter to the clinic, they just asked everybody who walked in the door if they were here for an H1N1 shot and gave it no questions asked. No wonder there's still a shortage......
MarcM
no shots, just the drops. Mya's fever was hovering at around 101 yesterday. It was down to 99 this morning around 2am. Mariko is now having the same symptoms that Mya had in the same order. Whatever it is, it seems to run it's course quickly.

Lea
if you don't have lung trouble. I do have some lung problems but only because of the last time I got a bad flu I can think of better and easier ways to die then slowing smothering to death
Levis
Might I throw in the possibility that, cancer or flu, if you like to think you're going to die you probably are going to die?

Steel2Velvet
My oldest daughter, Paige (I posted photos from her wedding here a couple years back) had my 6th grandchild last night. A 6lb 14oz girl named Alayssia. Paige has been through a lot of self-generated and unattributable problems throughout her life. The latest was a miscarriage of her first pregnancy a little over a year ago. Last night's dramatic event is a real blessing for her and her husband, as well as a confirmation that the past is not one's irrevocable life determination factor. I know theirs will be a great family!
Shawna
confirmation that the past is not one's irrevocable life determination factor. Congratulations, Ron, to you and your daughter and her family! What a great way to end the year. I love this quote of yours. I think I'll print it up and keep it close.
