CanAm Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 ^ Moonlight Desires - Gowan - Not My cup of tea. 3/10 I Am The Walrus - Frank Zappa Although I really dislike most of Zappa's material, this rendition of I Am The Walrus is rather good. 8/10 Hands Off - Rory Gallagher One of Rory's early performances. He makes it look Sooooo easy! One of the greatest blues guitarists of all time.
phil Posted July 27, 2007 Report Posted July 27, 2007 Rory brings back High School memories 9/10 Doncha Just Know It - Huey Smith & The Clowns
CanAm Posted July 28, 2007 Report Posted July 28, 2007 Rory brings back High School memories 9/10 Doncha Just Know It - Huey Smith & The Clowns Doesn't do anything for me, I'm afraid. 3/10 Warming Up The Band - Heads, Hands & Feet A largely unheralded, yet truly great band. It features guitar virtuoso Albert Lee on dobro.
_Laurie_ Posted July 28, 2007 Report Posted July 28, 2007 I never heard of them before CanAm... I like it! 7/10 The Stray Cats It has a good beat, and you can dance to it..give it a listen
TheLizard Posted July 29, 2007 Report Posted July 29, 2007 7/10 They, along with the Pretenders, are opening up for ZZ Top on the 5th when I see them. Drunken Lullabies- Flogging Molly

CanAm Posted July 30, 2007 Report Posted July 30, 2007 Great Pub song 8/10 Natures Way - Spirit Although I've never heard of them, I like the song. Kind of folky. 7.5/10 Sympathy - Uriah Heep Not the classic lineup with David Byron, but a good tune nonetheless.
phil Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 Definitely 1977! Good song 7.5/10. 157 Riverside Ave - REO Speedwagon

CanAm Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 well... the first minute was kinda boring but after that it was really good, funky even 7.5/10 a propos funky: Funky Monks ~ RHCP Shake your groove thang!! Sounds a bit like Rick James. Good guitar, although the song is a bit long. 7.5/10 If You Think You Know How To Love Me - Smokie
phil Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 David Cassidy look-a-like. Good sing-a-long 6/10. Johnnie Get Angry - Joannie Sommers

Farin Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 "Kool Love Song", but a bit too 'popy' to really be something for me 6/10 I am Mine
phil Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 I love the Modest Mouse sound 9/10. They should be in one of our top ten. I Put A Spell On You - Screaming Jay Hawkins
CanAm Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 I love the Modest Mouse sound 9/10. They should be in one of our top ten. I Put A Spell On You - Screaming Jay Hawkins He certainly lives up to his moniker. The man can certainly sing, but this version is a little too campy for my taste. 5/10 I'm Going Down - Stevie Ray Vaughan & Jeff Beck Two guitar legends rockin' down the house!
Lucky Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 How come I don't visit this thread? Sheesh, there's great stuff here! For Stevie Ray and Jeff Beck 9/10 what else? Angel ~ Jimi
