Sweet Jane 61
WINTER & SNOW!!! Another winter storm is on the way for Friday and Saturday and this is a big one they are saying now. Possibly 10 inches of snow or more and maybe some ice thrown in, as if the snow wasn't enough to deal with....Grrrrrrrrr!!
Mike
I've had this really bad sore throat for a few days now, preventing me from getting more than a few hours of sleep a night. I've gone through mass quantities of throat spray, lozenges, and tea. Yesterday morning It was really bad, I decided to visit the doc, so I make my appointment, arrive on time, making my co-payment, then waiting an hour for the doc to come into the room, thanks goodness for cell phone games, then he asks me a bunch of questions, takes swab to check for strep-throat, wait another half an hour, he comes in and says. You have a cold virus. !? All this pain and suffering for a cold? Wasting a sick day, co-payment, 2 hours of my time. @*$! I still feel like crap, today at work. Shawna
hmmmm.... I had something that was grinding my gears a bit today. Then I decided on another plan of action and am perfectly happy with how it's playing out.

Sweet Jane 61
The Blizzard of 2008!! The snow hasn't stopped and it started yesterday around 10am, and the wind is just wild. You look out the window and just keep watching your car getting covered with snow, I can now see the roof and a little bit below that, and it is expected to snow until around midnight. I HATE WINTER AND SNOW!!
MarcM
We are having a nice global warming over here in So Cal. It is gonna be in the 70's again today, but it is windy. Come check out LA, Jane! KLOS could always use a good DJ....
Sweet Jane 61
Marc, sounds good but I'm not sure about living in LA. Well 12 inches of snow and still snowing, it has slowed down some but I have no idea how we will get dug out, where do you put all the snow?? MarcM
Daylight savings is robbing me of one our of sleep tonight, which means I will be waking up at 0330 for work.
Mars88
Marc, I imagine there will be a number of tired folk tomorrow. My province does not follow daylight savings, so our clocks remain unchanged.
MarcM
I imagine that I will not be the only tired one. I wish we did not move out times around.

Shawna
AZ doesn't change clocks, either. I spent 36 of my years in San Diego and hated it every time it happened, and now here in AZ it's bliss to not have to worry about it.
The Seeker
Daylight Savings? Where? Europe too? And why only some US states?
skybluesky
Benjamin Franklin may have given us bifocals and the lightning rod, but g-d his idea to mess up our inner clocks! :beady: DST Wiki I grew up in Central Indiana and we never changed time, but the southern part of the state did. The Seeker
Oh And it seems like your clocks change back a week or two earlier than ours.
skybluesky
I never knew other countries changed too, even Iceland and China.
edna
It´s not that complicated, really... all you have to do is 1) remember you have to adjust clocks be up at 2.00 am to do it c) remember where are all your clocks (DVD, oven, tv, watches, computers, phones, cellphones, alarms, car, etc.) d) get used to it. It´s only six months until you do it again...

Lea
Not this time Ray but that would be more the norm. The new guy seems like a nice enough guy but he's a bodybuilder jock type who thinks he's tougher then he probably really is. She was a wrestler in HS and didn't even date that type back then. Was just surprised when I met him last night. He seem nice enough tho.
