_Laurie_
New American Idol...anyone gonna watch it...Peachy?
Tenacious_Peaches
Yes, Mags has talked me into it once again. I swore I'd never watch it again after my beautiful Chris got the boot last year. But he's much better off now than he would have been if he'd won. So I'm back on the horse, at least until I get my panties in a wad about some other issue. Have you seen the drunken Paula interview? So, so funny. That sister is intercoursed up. I don't have YouTube ( ), but if you do a search, I'm sure you'll find it.
_Laurie_
No, I didn't see the interview..If I get a chance to look it up, I will...
Shawna
tonight's "Idol" was hysterical. I mean contestant-wise. I have always liked Simon, because I think he's honest without rancor, and 99.9% of the time I totally agree with him. Tonight, however, Randy tried to be Simon, and he came across as just plain rude.
_Laurie_
I got to watch a little of it...I'll watch it when I get home....Those doors were just plain mean though! "Wrong door, the other door, THE OTHER DOOR!" the littlest things make me laugh...
mocosillo
Tonight, however, Randy tried to be Simon, and he came across as just plain rude. Yes, I am half watching it right now, and I think I agree. Edited January 17, 2007 by Guest boo.
PSYCHOcatholic
Wow...that dude that freakin tapped and did the juggle stick things, and sang... Major Baby...that kid is gonna have problems when he grows up. There were some pretty bad singers tonight...really pretty bad...just plain bad. TheLizard
I watched it (I'll watch the auditions, it gets boring after that). That kid that called his mom and was sobbing because she was proud of him.... there's a serial killer in training right there.
Tenacious_Peaches
What a psycho that kid was. I feel the exact opposite, TimLizzy. I think this part is boring, but I love the actual competition. It looks like tonight they have a couple of mentally challenged kids on there, and as God/ Yaweh/ Allah/ Hasselhoff as my witness, if they get made fun of, I am not watching it ever again. AI likes to go for the shock value to get people talking, but that is absolutely wrong. Of course it hasn't even happened yet, but I am furious in advance. TheLizard
I'll watch the finals, if there's a theme that I like, just so I can annoy my family with my commentary (ie last year's Queen show).

TheLizard
Seattle tonight. I'm sure that the city that produces the best rock bands probably produces the worst pop singers. Plus if there ever was a city full of awesomely weird people, it's Seattle. Should be interesting.
mocosillo
A lot of people auditioning are unbelievably horrible.. It's sad how they try so hard to convince themselves they're worth anything at singing and they coem to this kind of thing and get shot in the face. If you suck at something, it's best to just accept it and find something else.
Shawna
How is it that people who can't sing don't know they can't sing? I can't sing, and I own it. It sucked pretty bad when Simon said mean things about that one little guy with the eyes. Again, though, I think Randy was the completely rude one here. How's about the bra-less daughter with the screaming blonde hair in the gold blouse singing "Don'tcha," and the mother with the ink-black hair who looked just like her? I don't think I've ever seen boobs hanging that close to the nether regions before.
Rayzor
I must say the people auditioning last night really sucked!! Paula is too nice. Simon should have walked up and slapped these losers silly. How can they be SO tone deaf to actually think that the catterwaulling they do is singing? just sad... Tenacious_Peaches
My brilliant 3 year old daughter walked in when the unfortunate young man was singing "Unchained Melody." She asked me, "Who is that poor guy?"
Rayzor
Even the first pick out of Seattle wasn't that good. Compared to everyone else last nite he was a singing god, however!! I'm positive those fools were looking only for air time. There's no way they actually believe they can sing?
TheTallOne
Anyone else think that guy with the eyes looked like a serial killer. Pale skin, 5 o' clock shadown, huge eyes, short, talked creepy. That was one of the creepiest people I've ever seen.
_Laurie_
I don't know, Big Red was kinda creepy.
Batman
I'm positive those fools were looking only for air time. There's no way they actually believe they can sing? Have you ever been to Seattle? It wasn't fake... It seems like the three major cities of the west coast (Seattle, San Francisco, and Portland) have the most authentically weird people in America. When they went to Vegas last year (I think it was last year), there were a ton of people who just wanted attention, and pretended to be weird, but in last night's audition, you could tell the weirdos were genuine weirdos. They should really come to Portland sooner or later, they'd get some cool people. Best comment of the night... Simon: this is ridiculous Contestant: You're ridiculous
TheLizard
Definitely authentic weirdness. I love that city! Seattle: Great rock musicians, but apparently horrible pop singers. Both groups are nuts though. Maybe we don't get enough sun.
Tenacious_Peaches
I'm bored with the auditions already. I am, however, in love with the 16 year old who sang "I'd Give Anything". Dear God, that makes me sound like a dirty old woman, doesn't it?
_Laurie_
Looks like Paula was giving him "the look".
Tenacious_Peaches
I don't think it takes much for Paula to give someone "the look". She's dirtier and older than me.
