invisible_r
Madonna has shown that she still has it by beating off rock's young upstarts to the title of Sexiest Female. Voters in the ShockWaves NME Awards 2006 have crowned the Queen Of Pop as the most desirable woman in Rock'N'Roll. The Subways' bassist Charlotte Cooper, The Long Blondes' frontwoman Kate Jackson, Be Your Own Pet's Jemima Pearl and Meg White were also nominated in the hotly contested category. Pete Doherty has been voted Sexiest Male by the readers of NME and NME.COM at the ShockWaves NME Awards 2006. The Babyshambles singer has rounded off a turbulent couple of months, which have seen the star narrowly escape a lengthy jail sentence, with the knowledge that he is still sending hearts up and down the UK into a flutter. Heartthrobs Richard Archer from Hard-Fi, Carl Barat, Liam Gallagher and Maximo Park's Paul Smith narrowly missed out on the honour of being the poster-boy of choice for the year. Tenacious_Peaches
I keep reading about this guy and I've never seen him. I decided to look up his picture and this was on the first page of results... He's not doing a thing for me. And I like ugly guys.
SoulGirl
oh god, he is sooooo not sexy. he is possibly the most unattractive person around, especially because he is such a phenomenal moron! i think madonna is amazing, but she's showing too much of her groin in videos these days! invisible_r
lol, i think madonna is sexy, and i hope i look half as good as she does when i am her age!
blind-fitter
Re: Pete Doherty. In the post-HIV age, I'm sure all the girls want to jump into bed with a convicted smack-head. NME readers? Collective iq of an earth-worm...
daslied
showing too much of her groin in videos these days! Who says things like "groin" anymore?
Jenny
I can see Madonna still being sexy....but Pete Doherty? In that picture Peaches posted, he looks like Adrian Brody after being trampled by a herd of elephants. Adrian Brody doesn't do much for me, but I would vote for him 10 times over this guy. The fact that he's a cokehead makes it even worse!
Sweet Jane 61
Madonna has it going on...a little to muscular tho...but she looks great for her age...damn her...but this dude...my God..what the heck is up with him being sexy?? Maybe he should do a sex tape like Kid Rock and Scott Stapp...ugliness seems to be the theme!

invisible_r
NME readers? Collective iq of an earth-worm... ahem, i read it! it's useful for music news. although it annoys me slighlty with the overhyping over the every "next big thing"

invisible_r
well, after having watched the awards ceremony last night, i am leaning towards blind-fitter's opinion of the nme. ok so i do read it online, but it annoys me how it hypes it'self and all these bands that seem to disappear after a while. i bet that's what's going to happen to the arctic monkeys

Tenacious_Peaches
i think madonna is amazing, but she's showing too much of her groin in videos these days! Soulsis, I just saw her latest video for "Sorry" and you are correct about the disproportionate amount of "groinal" camera angles. Okay, we all get it, you look great in your 40s. More power to you, sister. But for the love of all that is Kabbalah, put the baby maker away, Esther.
