edna Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 "Cygnet Committee", Bowie. And I´ve been singing it in a very loud voice since yesterday. I´m asked to please shut up...
RonJonSurfer Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 "Cygnet Committee", Bowie. And I´ve been singing it in a very loud voice since yesterday. I´m asked to please shut up... One of my all-time favorite songs. I once recited the entire (very long) song as part of a communication course at Rutgers. The professor simply asked every student to get up and recite a piece of "any kind of work" to get used to speaking in front of others. That was never a problem for me. I'll get up in front of 1000's without the least bit of concern. anyway, I chose "Cygnet Committee" as my piece.

MindCrime Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 That's The Way I Like It - K.C. & the Sunshine Band, from some commercial they run to no end.
Blue Fish Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 That song for the diet coke ad....I don't know it's name! Anyone know what I'm on about here?
edna Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 It really is a long long text... I learned it by heart in the mid seventies just because I adore this song... 30 years later I rediscovered it but had to find the lyrics to refresh a bit my dusty brain...
Levis Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Galaxie by Blind Melon Is this the place that I want to be Is it you who I want to see Holding on, hold it high, show me everything And you're leaving me, yeah you're leaving me you're leaving me with a hated identity But I keep on a comin' here and standing in this state And I'm never really sure if you'll take what I'm saying the right way But I'm not appalled or afraid verbal pocket play Is as discreet as I can muster up to be Because the Cadillac that's sittin' in the back It isn't me Oh, no, no, no it isn't me I'm more at home in my galaxie Can I do the things I wanna do That I don't do because of you And I'll take a left and I'll second guess into a total mess And you're leaving me And you're leaving me you're leaving me with a hated identity No no no no it isn't me No no no no it isn't me No it isn't me I'm more at home in my galaxie
