Farin Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 wild guess: Scientology? I know Beck and Isaac Hayes ("Chef" in South Park) are both members...
bazooka Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 You are correct! [smallest] from Wikipedia[/smallest]: Edgar (Winter) also produced, arranged, and performed on the album Mission Earth (1986). This album's words and music were written by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. L. Ron Hubbard supposedly left detailed instructions and audio tapes for the musicians and producers to follow when making the album.

Farin Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 I'm sure that's correct do we get a new one?
phil Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 Songwriter Alex Call played with all these artists. Got this from Songfacts
bazooka Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 (edited) You got it, phil ! That's the link I was looking for. I'm not sure Call ever played with Tommy Tutone, but he did co-write 867-5309. I started investigating the band Clover, and had Costello and Lewis before I came across Call/Tutone connection in the Songfacts interview. -------------- Actually the whole link became more ambiguous when I re-read the interview and discovered Alex Call's comment regarding the My Aim Is True album: " Huey and I did not participate in those recordings because they had no need for us ..." Edited March 24, 2008 by Guest added the purple stuff. You're up, phil.
phil Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 Yes we have some pretty smart people who contribute to the Song Facts! OK my turn. Warren Zevon Linda Ronstadt Terri Clark
Lucky Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 Poor, poor, pitiful me is going to sleep. I'll come up with a new one tomorrow. If someone wants to step up, until then, go for it!
