Elvish
Almost Like A Song ~ Ronnie Milsap Once in every life Someone comes along And you came to me It was almost like a song You were in my arms Right where you belong And we were so in love It was almost like a song January through December We had such a perfect year Then the flame became a dying ember All at once you weren't here Now my broken heart Cries for you each night And It's almost like a song But it’s much too sad to write Now my broken heart Cries for you each night And It's almost like a song But it’s much too sad to write It's too sad to write

Elvish
Leaving to Stay ~ Jonny Lang I can't believe in what I've seen I been forsaken. I been deceived Cast aside and left behind I can't believe my own eyes I been waiting for the glory Of the coming of the Lord I heard a lot of stories But all my prayers have been ignored I been waiting in the wings Between the ocean and the shore But this time I'm leaving to stay I'm walking away I seen the red sky in the morning I seen the low tide slipping away I do believe I'll take warning Taking my leave to stay I been waiting for the glory Of the coming of the Lord I heard a lot of stories But all my prayers have been ignored I been waiting in the wings Between the ocean and the shore But this time I'm leaving to stay I'm walking away [solo] Like an angel afraid to fly Like the last lonely rose hung on the vine

I can't take it I'm so lonely, gee I need you so I can't take it Oh I wonder why you had to go But baby every night I wake up crying Tears on my pillow Pain in my heart You on my mind I remember all the good times that we had before Oh I remember And now my heart, my very soul cries out for more But baby, all your love for me is dying Tears on my pillow Pain in my heart You on my mind I'll always remember that day you promised to love me You said you'd love me till the very end And I'll never forget I'll never forget when you walked away from me You walked out of my life, you were my very best friend Oh baby every night I wake up crying Tears on my pillow Pain in my heart You on my mind Yeah tears on my pillow Pain in my heart You on my mind I got tears on my pillow Pain in my heart You on my mind I got tears on my pillow Pain in my heart You on my mind

johnnyguitar
When I'm in a maudlin mood just about anything can get my lachrymal secretions going... 'Driving With The Brakes On' (Del Amitri) nearly always gets me at the line... 'It's hard to say you love someone....but it's hard to say you don't'. Dunno why (well I do really, but I'm not telling you lot).

johnnyguitar
johnny come on you put it out there knowing it would peak curiosity, and I am one curious chick...fess up...I won't tell...I keep secrets...try me... I come from a family with a long history of maudlin sentimetality...frustrated poets, writers, painters...none of us with a whit of real talent...when we hear/see someone do something beautiful we burst into tears...it's just jealousy really. MuzikTyme
Anything by Metallica. I'd have said your avatar. It's a nightmare that would bring tears to most that would wake up from it. TheLizard
Yikes, that face is going to haunt me. Still, that sneaky image is one of the most brilliant parts of a brilliant movie.
MuzikTyme
Couldn't agree more! Those strobe-like flashes of that image haunts me to this day! And I saw it at the theater back in early 70's where they, ushers, were taking people out of the theater on gurneys, literally. My sister, 11 years older than me at the time when we saw it, was scared to check on my nephew, her son, when he was sleeping soundly at the age of three; in the dark, you see? But when we saw that movie... both of us were scared to go into a child's room. That's how scary that movie was . . . Then.
