XXX Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 See? This is why I said I secretly hate, but publicly claim to enjoy... Everyone loves Scissor Sisters and everyone here plays them over and over and over and over Years after it all dies down and everyone forgets about them, including the kids here, THAT's when I'll take up collecting their music and bring it up in a topic, "Remember The Scissor Sisters?" Just like I would ask nowadays, "Remember Nick Gilder and Sweeney Todd?"
edna Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 I admit I love the Robbie Williams/Nicole Kidman cover of "Something Stupid". Shame on me...
SoulGirl Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 it's okay xxx..... *sniff*..... you can ...*sniff*... hate them if you want *sniff* ..... you're entitled to your own .... *sob* opinion
Earth-Angel Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 I admit I love the Robbie Williams/Nicole Kidman cover of "Something Stupid". Shame on me... I love Robbie Williams! But yes, I secretly enjoy that song too...
SoulGirl Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 robbie williams is like a god here in germany - they seriously worship him, far more than any other popstar!!
XXX Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 Robbie Williams used to be in a group called Take That, which had the one hit, "Back For Good"
PSYCHOcatholic Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 ok Ok OK! ILL ADMIT IT! Maroon 5...yeah, its sad. But i like a couple of there songs and i tell everybody i hate them.
PSYCHOcatholic Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 might as well add the song by Nelly Featuring Tim McGraw...Over and Over...but it is getting kinda annoying playing over and over again. irony sucks
Jillianne Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 I like Maroon 5, I have no problem admitting it
SoulGirl Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 Robbie Williams used to be in a group called Take That, which had the one hit, "Back For Good" take that had one hit? are you joking?
XXX Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 I think that one charted here back in the 90s. Did they have more? I have the album right here with me... it's not very good besides the one song
SoulGirl Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 they were huuuuuuuge in the uk and ireland, and probably the rest of europe too. all the girls were crazy after them (although this was one craze that passed me by!). off the top of my head i can remember: it only takes a minute everything changes but you how deep is your love (cover of beegees) never forget and that one with lulu oh yeah: relight my fire pray that's all i can remember right now but i'm sure there were a few more and all!
miamisammy29 Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 Years after it all dies down and everyone forgets about them, Years?? I think you mean "weeks". Nick Gilder...that's funny. Oh, and it's nice to have you back, Three-X. We were all wondering where you went. Rock on, Dude.
miamisammy29 Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 robbie williams is like a god here in germany Yeah, and so is David Hasselhoff. As Norm McDonald would say, "Germans love David Hasselhoff."
Jillianne Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 Oooh! Gis! I loved Take that!!! I hate boybands, but these! phwoar! Pure brilliance
_jr_ Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 That Cher song, 'Believe'. I secretly downloaded it and put it on a mix cd. Although I can't stomach Cher. "If I could turn back time, I'd probably date a fetus" Blech.
MuzikTyme Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 Ah, The Wiggles. Their song, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack cock-a-doodle-doo is nothing short of profound. I want Captain Feathersword's autograph. :: So far as secretly liking something, I don't. I can't see the logic of not sharing things I like. It's the amazing thing to be human. To like something passionately that another doesn't while understanding that not everyone in this world will agree with you everytime.
SoulGirl Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 jr, the video for that cher song just came on and i thought of you - haha!!!
kellie rockin in the free world Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 SPICE GIRLS.....yeah I no....but i can't help it ...i love there song "wannabe"
fidelityfiend Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 I think everybody has a couple of guilty pleasures - one of mine is Justin Timberlake (even the name makes me cringe) "Rock Your Body" - I hate/love/hate that song
Teresa34896 Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 This floored my daughter: "It's not unusual" by Tom Jones and "Never gonna give you up" by Rick Astley! They are so wonderfully kitsch, though! Edna, I too love Dusty Springfield, Sandie Shaw and Lulu! ::
Karhul Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 The Final Countdown-Europe That riff will get stuck in your head for days. But that's a good song!!!, lol.
broken_vampire Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 Destiny's child - lose my breath ... I hate Rnb but I secretly love destiny's child... And sometimes even madonna and don't forget "Geri halliwel - look at me"
Steel2Velvet Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 The prevailing sentiment seems to be loathing for Katrina and the Wave; but that aside, anytime I hear the beginning of "Walking On Sunshine" I have the desire to dance. I love the energy of that song. It feels ... it feels ... GOOD!
