TheLizard
Very deep, but not what I was going for. Here's a hint: If you've paid close attention to certain announcements I've made over the years you may figure out what ties all these songs together. Steel2Velvet
Very deep, but not what I was going for. Here's a hint: If you've paid close attention to certain announcements I've made over the years you may figure out what ties all these songs together. I was going to guess drinking rye whiskey in an Irish pub - but that's thematic in only about two thirds of your songs. :haveabeer: 1. As Long As There Is Whiskey - Murder By Death 2. Little Wing - Derek and the Dominoes (This version without Bobby Whitlock is sudsless dishwater) 3. You Can't Always Get What You Want - Rolling Stones 4. One Big Holiday - The Morning Jacket 5. Soul Sacrifice - Santana 6. Teach Your Children - CSN&Y 7. Me and the Moon - Gaelic Storm 8. Black River Killer - Blitzen Trapper 9. Learning To Fly - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers 10. On The Road Again - Willie Good listen! Edited August 4, 2013 by Guest
TheLizard
Another hint: I obviously know that the studio versions of Little Wing and Teach Your Children are by Derek and the Dominos and CSNY, respectively. So why would I change the artist names?

TheLizard
First of all, Irish whiskey and rye whiskey are two different things. I'd expect a cultured man of the world such as yourself to know that. Secondly, while the drinking in an Irish pub is a safe assumption to make, it has no bearing on this case.
