Lucky
(Tim, I love these bands you're introducing me to! Did you know the Morning Benders changed their name? Turns out in Europe "bender" is derogatory slang.) Did you miss the Alabama Shakes song "Hold On" which I nominated last week? If so, I will concede credit to Tim for the introduction .... now go back & listen to that song, it's also a good 'un! I do agree with Tim however that 2012 kinda rocks ... There is tons of new music I'm in love with, and seems to be a distinct swing towards roots & folksy type music, which I love.

Uncle Joe
I like old artists...like '50's or '60's. Just kidding...new artists sounds OK...define new, though.
Lucky
New artists in that they have never made the top the before. They could be new as in newly formed, 1st hit song .... or new as in they've been around since 1966, but we've never voted a song by them into the ten. Brad_M
I'm in for new artists. :guitar: There are many artists that I like a lot that don't have any songs in the Top Tens yet.

Shawna
Apologies! you are! And Carole, I will go and have a listen to your song from last week right this very minute... wait a second... I did hear that one already! And I do like it. If the competition hadn't been so stiff (IMO) that would have had my vote. So thank you Carole, for introducing me to Alabama Shakes. I'm sure Tim's introduced me to something that I've liked.
Lucky
I was only kidding, I was just particularly proud of "discovering" something! Anyway, that Tim has introduced most of us to something or other, so he just deserves credit in general. Results for last week coming momentarily .... and .... from the comments we've had, next week will be a "New Artists Special". Two nominations from each player, songs by artists that have never made the ten. This means you really need to check the every song lists. Be aware that as of this moment they are complete through #287. I'll do my best to update them tonight or tomorrow, but please double check the results from the past 4 weeks as well.
