skybluesky Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 Word. The 80s without Jenny is like the 80s without jelly shoes and mall hair.
Lucky Posted September 6, 2010 Author Report Posted September 6, 2010 We are waiting. She was here on friday, I'm taking that as a sign that she'll soon be back. The 80's without Jenny is unthinkable.

Jenny Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 You guys are all so sweet to think of me and wait for me prior to voting. I put my little sweetie on the bus to school, worked out at the gym, and now I'm back! I lost the list of albums I wanted to nominate when I emptied my desk and there are so many good ones already chosen, but I'll try: Cyndi Lauper - She's So Unusual (1983) This album launched her into the stratosphere with "Girls Just Want to Have Fun", but it also spawned the hits "Time After Time" "She Bop" and "Money Changes Everything" and "All Through The Night". Her unusual voice and look influenced a generation of girls to be themselves. Uh Huh - John Cougar Mellencamp (1983) One of my favorite albums. John had already had hits as "John Cougar", but this was the first album in which he used his birth name and became a big star. The first three tracks rank among my favorite JCM songs of all time Crumblin' Down Pink Houses Authority Song Warmer Place to Sleep Jackie O Play Guitar Serious Business Lovin' mother for ya Golden Gates

"There Is a Light That Never Goes Out" 4:02 10. "Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others" 3:14

Farin Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 Hey Ace, Welcome to Songfacts take a look around this thread and you'll notice that both of your choices have already been nominated - which is a good thing because that means you can choose two new ones
edna Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 Double Fantasy - John Lennon It didn't come to my mind...
Lucky Posted September 7, 2010 Author Report Posted September 7, 2010 Hey Ace, Welcome to Songfacts take a look around this thread and you'll notice that both of your choices have already been nominated - which is a good thing because that means you can choose two new ones And I second that .... please, join us & throw out a couple more great 80's albums.
MindCrime Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Does this mean I can change my nomination of Master of Puppets and it still be included? We may not hear from this guy until after voting begins.
pinkstones Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 I don't know -- the guy seems like a post-and-run sort to me. You know the types; they sign up, post once and then never come back.
Farin Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 as long as you don't both change your nominations in the end, be my guest
pinkstones Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Why should Kenne have to change his nomination? He came up with it first. Edit that guy's post so that his nominations aren't there anymore since someone else go to them already.
MindCrime Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 (edited) As long as the renomination of Metallica by Ace Syton stands... Combat Rock - The Clash (1982) [iMAGE][/iMAGE] "Know Your Rights" "Car Jamming" "Should I Stay or Should I Go" "Rock the Casbah" "Red Angel Dragnet" "Straight to Hell" "Overpowered by Funk" "Atom Tan" "Sean Flynn" "Ghetto Defendant" "Inoculated City" "Death is a Star" Edited September 8, 2010 by Guest
Farin Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Why should Kenne have to change his nomination? He came up with it first. Edit that guy's post so that his nominations aren't there anymore since someone else go to them already. Kenne doesn't have to, but he can, if he wants to... just like you or anyone else can change their own nominations if they want to
pinkstones Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 I see it as first come, first serve. If someone else had nominated Slippery When Wet before I did, I should be the one to change my nomination, not them.
Shawna Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 do y'all have a list yet? I'm thinking of submitting a nom or two, and I don't want to read through all this... but I will if you don't have a list yet...
