I want to congratulate Lucky for her most original nomination.

Some time ago, I inadvertantly re-nominated a song that had missed out for someone else, and that person said, "how come they didn't vote for it when I nominated it ?", with a sad face symbol. It still happens.

I'd like to see an "All New Songs" Top Ten. It would be difficult to police, but it's very simple to do a quick 'find on this page' search of the Archives.

That's fine Shannon. I'm glad for you. That was how the Top Ten started; we just wanted to get good songs in, no matter who nominated them. I didn't vote for either of my nominations in one Ten.

I'm just observing that most weeks someone will comment "it didn't do any good when I nominated it" or words to that effect.

I'm not telling anybody what to nominate, but I'll go on nominating only original songs. I don't want to cause angst to anyone.

I honestly never thought Love Hurts would have made #1, but I'm tickled to death that it did! Thanks to everybody that voted for it, it's not a rocker by any means, but it truly is a beautiful song that needed to be there. It also puts two artsts into the Ten that weren't there before. Since that was the idea this week, yay!!

I go both ways on the renominating thing. I try not to very often, but I will do it if I truly believe in a song. One thing I don't believe I've ever done (or rarely) is offer a renomination of my own. Many of my original nominations don't make it the first try, but someone else gets it in. That's cool with me, as long as it ends up on the list.

I like the idea of an "All New Songs" Ten, that would be fun. Oh, and for those that have put their opinions out there, we've decided if everyone is up for it, we'll do a No Artist That Has Made The Ten ten, in the next couple of weeks. So get busy hunting down those great artists that haven't made it into the ten previously, or those one hit wonders that you've been hanging onto!
