Ace-How Long Has This Been Going On 1974

This is a song about bassist Tex Comer leaving the band briefly to play with the Sutherland Brothers and Quiver, and his subsequent return — was released as the first single. Most listeners interpreted the song as an ode to a crumbling love affair, and it became a fluke hit in both the U.K. and the U.S.

Pablo Cruise-Love Will Find A Way 1977

This one was about lost love.

I love the instrumentation in both songs.

If You Leave - OMD (Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark)

If you leave, I won't cry

I won't waste one single day

So if you leave, don't look back

I'll be running the other way

Nothing Compares 2 U - Sinead O'Connor (1990)

It's been seven hours and sixteen days

since you took your love away

I go out every night and sleep all day

since you took your love away

^yes it is ;)

Songfacts: Coldplay got permission from Kraftwerk to borrow the main synthesizer riff of "Computer Love" for their 2005 song "Talk."

Okay, I was being silly. What really bothers me is whether Men At Work got permission to use "Kookabarra Sits In The Old Gum Tree" for the flute solo in Down Under.

See ya,
