FAVORITE Song of all-time

Recommended Posts

Too many to list! I'll list some random songs instead:

"Theme From Taxi Driver" by Bernard Herrmann

"Deacon Blues" by Steely Dan

"Baker Street" by Gerry Rafferty

"You Belong To The City" by Glen Frey

Hmmm. I denote something in common here :beatnik:

I could not put one over all the others but my possible choices for #1 would be:

- "Hey Jude" by The Beatles

- "Layla" by Derek and The Dominoes

- "In My Life" by The Beatles

- "Maybe I'm Amazed" by Paul McCartney

- "The Weight" by The Band

- "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd

Sorry, I know it said 'song' not 'songs'.

I don't have one favorite, but I never get tired of listening to these songs:

Moondance - Van Morrison

Imagine - John Lennon

Levon - Elton John

Un Amor - The Gypsy Kings

A Different Corner - George Michael (stop laughing!!!)

Pride (In the Name of Love)& Sunday, Bloody Sunday - U2

I'll probably think of more later.

That's pretty tough. Everyone goes through phases. At this very moment, though, I would have to list these five

1. Go All the Way- The Raspberries

2. Sweet City Woman- The Stampeders

3. Sunshine - Jonathan Edwards

4. Give Me Just a Little More Time - Chairmen of the Board

5. Vehicle - The Ides of March

Am I showing my age?

Am I showing my age?

Dude, you're not necessarily showing your age, but you're definitely showing that you have an undying love for one-hit wonders.

"Hand of Fate" - The Stones

"Sympathy for the Devil" - The Stones

"One Hit (to the Body)" - The Stones

"Ballad of Dwight Fry" - Alice Cooper

"Bonzo Goes to Bitburg" - The Ramones

"Slip Kid" - The Who

"Village Green Preservation Society" - The Kinks

"20th Century Man" - The Kinks

"Around the Dial" - The Kinks

"Nobody's Fault But Mine" - Zeppelin

I have a lot of favorite songs, but my ultimate favorite?

LA Woman: The Doors

This song just does it for me! It's one of those songs that has so many different things going on at once: fast, smoky, trippy, sultry, sexy, wild, spiritual, sensual, primal, clear, raspy, raw, real...magic!

I've never liked a song as much as LA Woman...it's always been my #1 tune!
