just out of curiosity, #s 6 and 7 have 52 apiece, how do you decide which is 6 and which is 7? :)

for that case we have a couple of tie-breaking rules:

1. number of people who voted for it, if that's still the same:

2. number of #1 spots (10 points) the song recieved, if that's still the same:

3. number of #2 spots, etc

:)

You've Got to Hide Your Love Away

Easy To Be Hard

Centerfold

I Got A Name

(Just Like) Starting Over

Sunday Morning Coming Down - Johnny Cash (1970)

And even though Everybody Hurts is one of my least favorite R.E.M. songs I still like seeing them at number one

I can see, without checking, 5 re-nominations in this week's Ten. Good to see 'Everybody Hurts' at #1. It was first nominated by Ron (Steel2Velvet) back in TT #36. It's great to see a wonderful song like 'Sunday Morning Comin' Down' recognized also. Excellent nomination Lucky !

And I'm glad renoms of Radio Ga-Ga, Centerfold, Miss You, and (Just Like) Starting Over - my original nomination that I decided to try again - made it.

I'll only re-nominate my own original nominations, but anyone else who wants to re-run mine is welcome to. I'm happy to see any make the Ten.

There's undiscovered gold in them there Archives. :)

You are absolutely right, Darryl, there is. :)

WooHoo for Sunday Morning Coming Down! :o;)

It's nice to see so many people recognize it for the great song it is. Kristofferson and Cash both had been living a "hard life" so to speak, when that song was written. I believe that Johnny sung it on his show before it was officially released. The Network tried to make him say the line "wishin' Lord that I was home" instead of "stoned". He agreed, prior to the show, recorded live. With Kristofferson sitting in the audience, he clearly sang the line as it was written "wishing Lord that I was stoned" saying later that the meaning of the song would have been changed totally, and he wasn't about to change another musicians' lyric with him sitting in the audience. Good man.
