Should I really bother saying anything? Alright, I will:

Stand is on the playlist. Stipe was right, it's a wonderfully stupid song.

I agree with one word in that line.

I also think that FM radio has decayed all of your minds. I am only pleased by, like, two songs on this list (Tom Petty! Redbone! ) and the rest I could live without. Maybe if you all try to listen to music with an objective viewpoint, there wouldn't be pointless corporate no-talents like Lenny Kravitz topping these lists all the time. And there wouldn't be messages like this:

diversity r0x0rz!!1!

Teh b1g 1111one1111 !!1!! ?

Hey, nice brains. Not.

And while I'm at it, I say that part of this does have to do with my selection not making it. Maybe it's because I'm new or something, but if that song had been put up by someone whose been around longer than me, no doubt you people would have crown it as "Da best zong evha!!!!11!" Or because it didn't have words, since we all know it takes some fantasy crap to create interest in people who don't realize it's all faked. If you had really bother to listen (objectively), it might not have ended up this way.

But whatever. Who cares what I think? I'm just a nobody. See you in December.

Yikes. Such an over the top reaction. And the shot at Lenny Kravitz is interesting, as he's one of the most singularly talented people to come out of the 90's, as most fans of rock, classic or otherwise, will tell you. That is, if they bother to listen.

Don't take this game personally. Very rarely do I get a nomination into the top ten, but I've never taken it as favoritism. In fact, I usually forget who nominates what, so it really can't be favoritism. There are ten songs up there that a lot of people like. I like most of them. You don't, and that's ok with me, so why isn't it ok with you that some of us do?

Oh Ry, my goodness! I think a lot of pepole know the Pink Floyd song. I happen to not care much for Pink Floyd, it's nothing personal at all! Win some, lose some thats all. Music is all subjective. It doesn't all have to be meaningful sometimes the silliest songs are the best. You're happy about Tom Petty? Thank you, I nominated that. Maybe it's meaningful, who knows? I've also nominated The Archies "Sugar Sugar" in the past. You'll be happy to know that it didn't make it, fantasy filled crapola that it is (sheesh they were cartoons!). Doesn't change the fact I liked the song then, and I like it now. So do lots of others! ;)

We'll see you in December. You can use that 3rd nomination to bring us to our knees! ;)

Pink Floyd, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin are my favorite bands in that order. I didn't vote for the Floyd or Zep songs because I just don't care much for those two songs. As a matter of fact I didn't vote for The Beatles song either. Same reason.

I am also new. Newer then you and I have had a couple of the songs I nominated make #1 in the ten and some of the others were voted pretty high as well.

This week neither of my songs made the list. They hardly got any votes at all. I'm a little disappointed but not at all angry about it and to be honest, I hadn't made a comment on the newest top ten because I don't really care for most of the songs on it. But, I won't criticize others because I don't care much for the songs chosen.

I have not ever felt any kind of favoritism here at all. I have been made to feel very welcome and with me being about half goofy most of the time that's saying a lot.

I'm sorry you are so upset Ry and hope you feel better and will still play the game when you come back. Personally I have a great time with it win or lose

Ditto, Sammy! But the people have spoken. :afro: :drummer: :beatnik:

From my very subjective viewpoint these lists are getting suckier and suckier. Oh yeah, there are about five or six good songs on the list...but great songs constantly go overlooked. I discovered early on that this is not a Steely Dan group. Arthur Brown's Fire gets snubbed for about the fifth time. We pays our money and we takes our chances.

REM's Stand? Perhaps I'm jaundiced by the inane video that came out with this song, but....IMO this song belongs on Sesame Street for the kiddies. PAP!
