edna
One of a few, edna, yes... I was googling to post a question some time ago, my question would have been: "this rocker/artist/bluesman/whatever NEVER was arrested"... but I couldn´t find an answer... But I believe this one was sentenced to death or so...?
_Laurie_
Sentenced to death, for what? for playing country music?...that's just silly...
Lucky
I don't think he was sentenced to death edna. He spent some time in prison. He is erroneously credited with writing many racially derogatory songs that were actually wrtitten and sung by an (loosely termed) artist at least 10 years prior to Coe's entrance to the music scene. Johnny Rebel. That is probably the biggest controversy surounding him. Now ya got me wonderin' WHO WAS senteneced to death???
edna
It was him. I found it in his biography. I remember when he released his first record, there was some promo based on that...
