OLD 55
Now just a word before I go. Please don't anybody get upset if your Song/Artist is shown a little differently on our Nominations List. We try to list the song titles/artists in the form that they were released. e.g. The Rockafeller Skank. You look at 20 Sites and you'll probably see 10 as "RockafellA". Being a real music nerd, I have Album and Single Chart Books with the titles and artists of all U.S. releases that charted, so I can look them up. Somtimes we just use our discretion. One Of my Nominations last Top Ten was "Turn!Turn!Turn!" The Byrds. It was released as "Turn!Turn!Turn! (To Everything There Is A Season). Bit of a mouthful so we dropped the part in brackets. Same with Fleetwood Mac's "Rhiannon". It was originally released as "Rhiannon (Will You Ever Win)", but everyone knows it as "Rhiannon" so we left it at that. With Group names, Grand Funk Railroad are a great example. They recorded under that name for 7 years, dropped the "Railroad" and had all of their Top 20 Hits as Grand Funk, and later changed it back again, towards the end of their career. Now, if you weren't already sleepy, that will surely have made you doze ! Goodnight U.S. friends. Edited January 31, 2007 by Guest THE !!!
