Dappled
Hi Darryl! Vive la 60s!! I think the 80s was very much commercial and the songs didn't live very long in our memory. I like lots of the music of today though. I hear some good new music on the radio every day: Laleh Invisible , Veronica Maggio Video , The Soundtrack of our Lives video , Helena Josefsson (By Your Side video ), Mando Diao Long Before Rock n Roll (from my home town). Our own Timbaktu is very popular on the hip hop scene. Edited January 25, 2007 by Guest

Rayzor
Darryl, Thanks for the heads up! I think I'll leave my list as it is as I had a wicked headache just trying to put together that top 10. Thanks again!
TheLizard
Why the 80s are so unpopular ? Maybe they don't get as much Airplay on the 'Classic Rock' stations ? No, they get plenty of airplay on the station here in San Antonio. Personally, I just think the 80's was a mostly bad decade for music.

OLD 55
Thanks for the info Dappled and Lizard. I've always thought that Pop music peaked in the 60s, but I was wondering if it was just me. Things always tend to look 'rosier' in your youth. Our eldest daughter grew up in the 80s and she loves the music. Maybe you've both tabbed it, although I still think there were a lot of great songs in the 80s, (+ some stinkers) but maybe not 'lasting' ones ? There's great songs in every decade - sometimes you just have to look harder for them. I'll cheeck out the ones you mentioned too Dappled.

OLD 55
Hi Shawna. Well, CeeCee and bluesboy have both PTd us to say they won't be able to vote in this Top Ten, so there's only Namahage left to vote, as usual ! Come on Mate. I'll leave it to Farin's judgement when to announce the TEN !
OLD 55
He'll fix it anyways. He's a good son. My brother comes to fix my mother's computer when it's not working as it should. Yes, he is a good lad. I was going to call Patti's Perfect ('Puter) Parts if he didn't fix it soon. She sounds experienced ! Goodnight All ! Farin
...as long as you keep nominating "Loser" I can't nominate Loser anymore, since it finally went to the Top Ten (after three tries ) and somehow I don't think other Beck songs would get a great response here... on the other hand I really expected "No Phone" to do better ...oh well btw, thx to Radhi for being the only other member to vote for it
