Levis
Actually I had a look at the clip and it's not even a music video it's more a studio recording, you can get those on CD
Farin
but if you put the album version vs this recording you'll notice that it's indeed different (better)

skybluesky
Yes, Das has abandoned us to live out a rock star life, swimming in a pool filled with money and drugs. That lucky bastard.

Carl
For your consideration: Every Little Step by Bobby Brown Here's why this is the most culturally relevant video of the '90s: 1) The white background paved the way for the Gap and iPod ads of the future. 2) The peak of the Gumby cut. 3) Maybe the most famous rap interlude. We all know Bobby was good to, good to, good to go solo. 4) Early use of video vixens, but had not yet crossed the line to hoochie. 5) First major appearance of the running man dance move. 6) Red socks and suspenders based on Steve Urkel from Family Matters. Carl
This Too Shall Pass - OK Go These are the guys who did the treadmill video, and this one might be better. What I like is how they used the Rube Golberg machine to make music for the song. Songfacts should be up for this song soon.
Levis
I've been waiting for someone to put this up. Pretty fantastic, innit?
Levis
Wasn't there a ton of controversy around it though? because of EMI refusing to allow people to embed it or have it on youtube or somesuch which OK Go did not approve of because of obvious defeats-the-purpose reasons? Carl
Elton and Millie - "Act of War" If all goes well, I have a few minutes with Millie Jackson tomorrow. This '80s confection is about as indicative of her career as "Freeway of Love" is to Aretha Franklin.
Carl
This has shown up in the Songfactor's Choice Top 10, but I just can't resist. Not sure there is a more heartfelt power ballad at the sunset of hair metal. Check out the lead singer with a cigarette in one hand and a work glove on the other. Rock and Roll!!! Not sure there is a more heartfelt power ballad at the sunset of hair metal. Check out the lead singer with a cigarette in one hand and a work glove on the other. Rock and Roll!!! I love that song. It was one of the first songs I ever learned on guitar. And I love Tesla for two reasons. 1. Their band name is the name of my favorite scientist. 2. They're hair metal but with a bit more musical depth to them. I love them.

RockyRaccoon
Haha. Those are probably my two favorite hair metal bands. Right up there with Steelheart
Tenacious_Peaches
 I'm convinced that Aqua Net fumes were the roofies of the hair metal era. How else could I have fallen in love at a freaking Tesla concert?
Carl
How could you NOT fall in love at a Tesla concert? That was powerful stuff. OK, another Hair Metal classic for you. This one was funded by the Paper Mate company, which paid for the video in exchange for prominent placement of its erasable pen (why didn't those things catch on?). Before you click, try to guess what song it is - what group would be a good candidate for pen sponsorship?:

Viaene
I'm on a boat I hope this is a parody on today's pop music Otherwise I'll go cry in a corner.
Farin
^ that's the guys who wrote the "Dick in a Box" song, so I would say it's really a parody
TheLizard
It is, but it became so popular over here you could almost call it a pop hit in itself. I'm almost embarrassed to say I have The Lonely Island's album, but I can't resist a bit of silliness.
