RockyRaccoon Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 I have been a Lonely Island fan since I stumbled upon their website, before anybody knew who they were. And I love them. I specifically remember the first time I saw "I'm On A Boat" on SNL. I was watching it with my girlfriend and I said "You watch. In like 2 or 3 months, this song will be huge just like 'Jizz In My Pants' did." And lo and behold.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 As a fan of both True Blood and Snoop Dogg, this video makes me happier than you will ever know. Oh Sookie
Carl Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 We get some interesting comments on the Songfacts pages, and there's one on Rio by Duran Duran that shows proof that a woman in the video is a famous transsexual who was born a man. Not sure who she is, but here's the vid: She also appears in "Some Like It Hot" by The Power Station.
Farin Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 Eric Whitacre's Virtual Choir - 'Lux Aurumque' every singer recorded their own part and put it on youtube before it was cut together to one choir.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 My new favorite song. WARNING: OVER 18 FOR LANGUAGE F&*^ You - CeeLo Green
Carl Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 Had no idea that there was a video for "Band On the Run": Not bad for 1973.
Carl Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 "Dreaming" by Blondie. Three things stand out here: 1) Not a lot rhymes with "restaurant," but they found one in the opening line - and there's no space travel involved. 2) Check out the drums. Clem Burke just keeps hitting fill after fill throughout the song. There doesn't seem to be a pattern here, just wild pounding that somehow works. 3) What a sweet sentiment: "Dreaming is Free." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXrFrmvG42I
skybluesky Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 I never understood what they meant by "you ask me what's my pleasure, a movie or a measure"
Carl Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Check out the Bob Seger video for "Like A Rock" I don't think Seger ever crossed over to video stardom the way classic rockers like ZZ Top and Van Halen did, and this might explain why. This video is an effort to be classy, but it seems kind of boring and doesn't show any personality. Kind of like one of those movies you are supposed to like but doesn't move you at all. Years later, whatever ad agency that had Chevy used the song to much better effect in selling trucks.
_Laurie_ Posted September 18, 2010 Report Posted September 18, 2010 Santana on Jay Leno Show....Very cool cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps...

Farin Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 wow, I really like that the idea to do these VideoSongs is cool too
Carl Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Another amazing, big-budget video that has nothing to do with the song, but is very entertaining: Erase Me - Kid Cudi
Viaene Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 Muse with a stunning mix of 'man with harmonica' and 'knights of Cydonia', enjoy their greatness!
ladynimue49 Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 Muse with a stunning mix of 'man with harmonica' and 'knights of Cydonia', enjoy their greatness! Even before I read your post I was thinking of Muse. I love this band, this was the first song I heard of theirs and I knew I had to hear more. I'm driving my teenage son crazy since his goal is too find music that pisses his parents off and when I told him how much I liked Muse he had a fit. But he's starting to wear me down with some of his heavy metal. I know I didn't do this link right, but I haven't figured out how to do it in here.

Farin Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 I don't know if we have any piano players here, but how can *anyone* play this?
RockyRaccoon Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 Hehe. Not on piano. But I can make a decent attempt on guitar.
Viaene Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 seems the answer to your question is in the related video's, Farin. Played by a 10 year old !
