Judo
Judo has guts! I love this song too, it reminds me of my first parties... Edna, I'm trying to be as recent with my nominations and still stick to what I like. Cheers!

OLD 55
Edna said: Yes, how comes Patti Smith's "Gloria" didn't make the Top Ten weeks ago? Edna, after hearing Patti's version of Gloria I thought I'd nominate the real one by Van The Man/ Them. She does sound a bit like him, but he's a bit prettier, I think. I like his hairdo - it's similar to mine.

rtstuff
Being it is father's day in the states and I just got back from putting fresh flowers on dad's grave I am going to nominate as my first song the song that dad said reminded him of his life. The words to this song were read in eulogy at my dad's funeral. The song "Like A Rock" by Bob Seger. My number two nomination is a solo act by a rock legend that was a member of several groups that were also legendary. I like the steel drums in this song. It gives it a Carribean flavor. "Love The One Your With" Stephen Stills. rtstuff "If you can't be with the one you love honey, love the one your with". Stephen Stills. On a second thought this could get you into trouble. OLD 55
I didn't know it was credited to him solo. David Crosby and Graham Nash sang "backup" and I was surprised to see that John Sebastian and Rita Coolidge did also. Well I can cross a few songs off my LISTA. Smooth Operator, Eye In The Sky, Ode To Billie Joe, Son Of A Preacher Man... It's going to make it tough voting though.

c_s_1987
Hmm, is there even such a thing as an obscure Beatles song? It looks like Not A Second Time will get a fair few votes, but maybe Free As A Bird would get less.

OLD 55
Well, we're short on nominations this time. Let's hope interest isn't waning and a few of our regulars come good over night. We surely do have a lot of great songs already. It sounds like a few of us have more than Ten now !
Farin
I'm sure it's because it started on a Saturday and it was Father's Day Weekend. But not because the interest is waning, right?
