OLD 55
Now we also have classical music... what will be next? Some Mozart or Beethoven? I'm still trying to find "Rite Of Spring" on the few 'classical' CDs we have. That's why I don't usually nominate any mid/late 50s or early 60s CLASSICS. Not enough people know them. I feel as old as Methuselah sometimes. P.S. Congratulations Farin ! You must have made the ONE THOUSANDTH Post in our Top Ten Thread. I've just gone to the start of Page 21 x 50. edna
I'm still trying to find "Rite Of Spring" on the few 'classical' CDs we have. Part of it is also on Disney's movie "Fantasia".
Judo
NO, NO, NO I mightn't get to vote for my own nominations. Seahorse, a tadpole needs your help. Not sure about your rules. Am I permitted to vote for my two nominations?

OLD 55
Thanks Edna, but I've found it and I'm listening to it now. Le Sacre du printemps 18 minutes and 53 seconds Nothing happens for 15 and a half minutes except what I'd call "incidental" music ! Verdict: Listen to 8 early 60s Classics instead. So I'm a peasant. The Peasant Of Pop. My eldest son actually has this CD "The Best Of Stravinksky". He bought it because he was curious to find out why Frank Zappa was a fan of Stravinsky. (Sorry jman ! It did sound much better in "Fantasia"). Bring back that lovin' feelin'....
OLD 55
Seahorse, a tadpole needs your help. Not sure about your rules. Am I permitted to vote for my two nominations? Hi Judo. For sure ! Put them #1 and #2 unless you see some others nominated that you like better (which has happened to me. I've seen 3 I like better than mine.) I didn't know I was a seahorse. Must have been when I got over 3000 Posts. I feel like a flounder (floundering around) most of the time. I was alright for a while.........
