Dappled
10 - Enola Gay - AMD Theme: Artists' names are abbreviations! Edited June 8, 2006 by Guest
Jenny
Joe got 6 right das got 1,2,3,4 and 5 right dappled got 10 right, although the group's name is OMD Dappled also guessed the theme sort of right For 8, that is a good answer, but that group doesn't match the theme 100%. It's not a great clue, but I am thinking of an artist who recorded a song using only one letter as his name. The song has two words.

Jenny
das is correct, but sorry, Dappled, you are not. Here are some hints: 7. This is a new song from a group that could row a boat 9. This group was crazysexycool

Jenny
das is right with Waterfalls by TLC. Farin, I like RHCP, but I just can't see any one of them as sexy. Also, Crazysexycool was an album title for TLC. Only 7 is left. Here is an addition to my last hint: This is a new song from a group that could row a boat --what do you row a boat with? The answer is the groups name (well, the initials of their name, anyway).

Also, Crazysexycool was an album title for TLC. I know many females, who would disagree with you about the sexiness . I thought "CrazySexyCool" was an allusion to "BloodSugarSexMagik", I didn't know it was an album for TLC
Jenny
Anthony Kiedis does have this sexiness vibe and has a nice set of pecs, but no, doesn't float my boat otherwise... Anyway, here are the results: 1. The opening to a letter to the almighty Dear God - XTC daslied 2. Toxic dart Poison Arrow - ABC daslied 3. She died of peroxide overdose Suicide Blonde - INXS daslied 4. The wicked witch of the west is one Evil Woman - ELO daslied 5. Earthquake, you didn't stop until daybreak You Shook Me All Night Long - AC/DC daslied 6. What's the radio set to, Mr. Starr? What's the Frequency, Kenneth? - REM UncleJoe 7. Affection & rememberances Love & Memories - OAR daslied 8. Michael Jackson is the self-proclaimed king of this Pop Musik - M daslied 9. Outdoor showers? Waterfalls - TLC daslied 10. It carried a radioactive "little boy" Enola Gay - OMD Dappled Dappled sort of got the theme right...it was bands/artist whose name is letters or initials. Thanks for playing, everyone. Farin
Das, aren't you ashamed of yourself? You could at least pretend not to know everything, so that some others can play too!
daslied
Mildly ashamed. It's a compulsion, I think. I'll try not to jump on the next one quite so quickly (and voraciously).
Jenny
Okay, I am recovered (sort of) and back so here is a new set of clues: 1. Inferno in an igloo 2. Jenny
Malakin is correct for 2 (Bring Me Some Water - Melissa Etheridge) and 5 (Middle of The Road - Pretenders). Is the theme coming into view yet? I will wait a little before throwing out clues, since das hasn't guessed yet.

Jenny
Ah, there he is, and all his guesses are correct. Only two clues left, 4 and 8. Hints: 4. This group had a very provocative album cover in the '70's and have their own topic in Music Discussion 8. This clue is describing a popular children's book and movie. I always cried at the end when they showed this on TV!

Jenny
Peaches is right with #8...love Charlotte's Web! Can't wait until my daughter is old enough to enjoy it. I thought #4 would be the easiest clue! Here's another hint that will give it away: This group has two sisters in it. If you know the theme, it shouldn't be that hard to get.
