RonJonSurfer Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 Brad and I went to a living history museum yesterday. I wore my Chargers sweatshirt and he wore a long-sleeved T-shirt. We both roasted. It had to have been at least 80-something here yesterday. Want I should put some sunshine in a zip-lock bag and send it to youse? ...and I can mail you a snowball in a zip lock bag..fair trade.
Shawna Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 have you ever seen those "California snowballs"? They're water in a plastic baggie with a little tiny top hat, carrot, twigs and rocks floating inside.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 I've seen "Georgia Snowmen" similar to that...It's cotton with the tiny hat, carrots and sticks. Very cute.
Uncle Joe Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 Yeah, I've seen Gulf Coast Snowman just like that, Peaches. It's frozen water, jumbo shrimp, no hats, carrots nor sticks. But it's really cool.
bluesboy Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 Last night was 47 F Today is suppose to get up to 80 F clear and sunny
rtstuff Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 In Huntington,West Virginia it is about 30 degrees Fahrenheit with about 4 inches of snow on the ground. It is our first snow of the winter. We apparently dodged the "Big One". rtstuff MU 1971
Tenacious_Peaches Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 Last night was 47 F Today is suppose to get up to 80 F clear and sunny I'll bring the fried chicken, bluesy, if you'll set up the picnic blanket. I'll be there in a couple of hours.
RonJonSurfer Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 have you ever seen those "California snowballs"? They're water in a plastic baggie with a little tiny top hat, carrot, twigs and rocks floating inside. We do have the same thing is Jersey. It's a used Hot Pockets wrapper filled with gray slush, metal slivers, the missing finger from Joey "Ninefingers" Graziano, and an empty shotgun shell. Don't order the hand delivery.
_Laurie_ Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 I'll bring the beer, wine, margaritas?
Steel2Velvet Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 Here's a shot I took two weekends ago on Honey Island (the size of Manhatten), about an hour and a half from home. My Bro-in-law has a cabin there we use from time to time. Going again next week when a couple from Ohio come for a visit. Our home is open to any Songfactors who would like to come. No joke, plenty of room. My wife and I will be your guides in the most most beautiful country on earth. And it be warm ......
bluesboy Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 Peachy and Laurie, chicken sounds great, no need to bring the Margaritas, I have all the fixin's. It's time to start working on your summer tans.

Shawna Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 That's hysterical! Do they sell 'em on streetcorners, or you do you have to be a member of some special club? I'm reminded of an old song my mom had on a 45 way back when... "Hernando's Hideaway." "Just knock three times and whisper low That you and I were sent by Joe Then strike a match and you will know That you're in Hernando's Hideaway..."
RonJonSurfer Posted February 13, 2006 Report Posted February 13, 2006 Hernando is our warehouse manager...
_Laurie_ Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 It is now 54 degrees and the sun is shining...whoo hooo.
Lucky Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 I ended up with a surprise day off yesterday, it was 68 degrees, blue skies, all in February! It was absolutely gorgeous, the kind of day that makes you feel good for no reason other than it's just a feel good day. We'll gradually cool off over the week till it's raining and cool over the weekend, but doesn't an unexpected beautiful day make you feel great?
_Laurie_ Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 yes especially in NY during the winter CeeCee!....winter is so depressing sometimes.
edna Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 It´s crazy here, we have had springtime for the last week but the sky is grey due to pollution...
Tenacious_Peaches Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 It is a lovely 70 degrees here in south Georgia.
Uncle Joe Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 Let's all grab our pitch forks and git on down to Ja Ja.
