johnnyguitar Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 Fairly self explanatory...what stuff has you diving for the off-switch...you just can't bear to listen to it...?
blind-fitter Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 For reasons I won't go into... "The Whole of the Moon" - the Waterboys
miamisammy29 Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 Genesis and especially solo stuff by Phil Colli...(*click*)
lonelyday Posted December 3, 2005 Report Posted December 3, 2005 Ugh, anything by the Black Eyed Peas, especially their latest song "my humps"
_Laurie_ Posted December 3, 2005 Report Posted December 3, 2005 now I know American Pie is a classic song, but whenever I hear it, i gotta change it.
Shawna Posted December 3, 2005 Report Posted December 3, 2005 for personal reasons (i.e. bad memories) anything by Pink Floyd. For just plain lousy music, anything that's hip hop, or head-banger, or rap.
Batman Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Genesis and especially solo stuff by Phil Colli...(*click*) Alright, I'll give you solo Phil Collins, but what about Peter Gabriel era Genesis? That's pretty good! Anything between Trespass and The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway is good prog rock
Batman Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 (edited) double post Edited December 4, 2005 by Guest I clicked the button twice
Crazy Don Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 "I Honestly Love You" by Olivia Newton-John.
miamisammy29 Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Alright, I'll give you solo Phil Collins, but what about Peter Gabriel era Genesis? That's pretty good! Anything between Trespass and The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway is good prog rock Ehhh, just not my cup of tea. TOO experimental and long-winded. But you're right...definitely better than the Phil Collins era. I want to choke myself whenever that song "Abacab" comes on the radio and I'm stuck at a party or in a store and there's no balcony from which to leap.
Batman Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 I know how you feel Sammy. While I like Genesis as sure as eggs is eggs, when you hear Genesis, you feel like you're "in the cage." You'd much rather see The Cinema Show. When you listen to Genesis, you want to use the knife. You're so bored when listening to Genesis, you're just "Counting out time." You know what you like, and "I know what I like and I like what I know." Well, I'd write more, but I should probably go, as Supper's ready.
RyanTurtle Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 Anything by Blink 182 usually has me diving for the off switch on the radio...
Uncle Joe Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Van Halen covering You Really Got Me. Yechhhh!
katie_sane Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 "I Honestly Love You" by Olivia Newton-John. Love that vomiting smiley, Crazy Don!!
blind-fitter Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 "True" by Spandau Ballet. Wuuuuuuuuuurgh! I briefly shared house with a bloke, yes, a bloke, who listened to this over and over , without ever seeming to realise they were a girl's band...
invisible_r Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 everyone probably already know two singers that seriously annoy me, so , as expected, anything by will young and justin timberlake my boyfriend likes electronica and dance, and some of the stuff he listens to really drives me up the wall!
CanAm Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 Anything by the Tragically Hip. (Where's that vomiting smilie when you need it?) Anything, except In The Mood, by Rush. Sympathy For The Devil - The Stones Jamaica - Led Zeppelin Any rap or hip hop songs. Anything by The Police.
invisible_r Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 the most aweful new song right now has to be the pussy cat dolls, "must stick wit you". must stick wit you??? it's one thing pronouncing it weird, but actually including the weird pronounciation in the title? plus, i bet none of them can sing
Levis Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 What about their first song? The one on regular regular rotation? - Don't Cha.
invisible_r Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 they have a first song??? oh i didn't know. the only reason i've even heard about them is that i watched some tv show on a music cannel, where half the ads are for ringtones, one of which was "stick wit u"
invisible_r Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 around. didn't feel like posting much. most of the posts seeem to be fun and games
arachnidoc Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 American Idiot- Green Day Fett's Vette- MC Chris Farmhouse- Phish La Gasolina- Daddy Yankee Freestyle Chinese Rap- Cky If you own the Washingotn Redskins, you're a c***- Atom and his Package
invisible_r Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 And if you didn't believe me that there is a song with such a s tupid title like "stickwitu", here. What is wrong with the world?? "Pussycat Dolls have stayed on top of the UK singles chart tonight (December 11) - and Eminem stays on top of the album chart. Pussycat Dolls' 'Stickwitu' sees off Madonna at Two with 'Hung Up' , while Sugababes are the highest new entry at Three with 'Ugly' ."(nme)
