katie_sane Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 I voted for Led Zeppelin III, because I love every song on that album.
Kevin Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Houses Of The Holy : good memories , though I don't think it is their best .
RonJonSurfer Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Physical Graffiti..every song a gem and it's a double album, twice as much Zep.
Batman Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Batman's list (very tough decision, likely to change) 1. IV 2. I 3. III 4. Physical Graffiti 5. II 6. Houses of the Holy 7. Presence 8. In through the Out Door
katie_sane Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Not that I agree with it, I think it is funny though: "...there's Jimmy Page, the greatest thief of American black music who ever roamed the Earth..." - Homer Simpson
edna Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 I voted for the first one because it´s the only LZ album I really know.
miamisammy29 Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 I voted for "Houses Of The Holy", but I love them all. If I had to seriously rate them, I'd have "Physical Graffiti" at #1 and "Zep II" at #2.
Mike Posted November 4, 2005 Author Report Posted November 4, 2005 I must say, I am really surprised already, even given how few have vote thus far ... Led Zep II is my second favorite after PG. It's got ... •Whole Lotta Love •What Is And What Should Never Be •The Lemon Song •Thank You •Heartbreaker •Living Loving Maid (She's Just A Woman) •Ramble On •Moby Dick •Bring It On Home 6/9 of these are ***** rockers and the other three are ****½ Come on ... Moby Dick? Alas, Zep II has received "0" votes ..."so far" -- so sad. Oh well~
Kevin Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 "Ramble On " is likely my favorite , but then I've never been cursed with common sense ...
miamisammy29 Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 MUSICAL INTERLUDE: "Baby, baby... I'm gonna bring it on home to you. I've got my ticket, I've got that load. Got up, gone higher, all aboard. Take my seat, right way back. ooh yeah. Watch this train roll down the track. I'm gonna bring it on home, Bring it on home to you. Watch out, watch out... :guitar: :guitar: :guitar: :guitar: Try to tell you baby, what you tryin' to do? Tryin' to love me baby, love some other man too. Bring it on home... Went a little walk downtown, messed and got back late. Found a note there waiting, it said, "Daddy, I just can't wait." Bring it on home... Bring it back home to me baby... Tell you, pretty baby, you love to mess me `round. I'm gonna give you lovin', baby, gonna move you out o' town. Bring it on home... Sweetest little baby, daddy ever saw. I'm gonna give you lovin' baby, I'm gonna give you more. Bring it on home... Bring it on home, Bring it on home to you..."
Kevin Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 ^ ... and that's the other one ...! :guitar:
Batman Posted November 5, 2005 Report Posted November 5, 2005 I must say, I am really surprised already, even given how few have vote thus far ... Oh well~ It's tied for fifth right now, which makes perfect sense to me (see list)
RyanTurtle Posted November 5, 2005 Report Posted November 5, 2005 II is the first Led Zeppelin record I ever got...so yeah...it's got a very special place in my heart...as far as led zeppelin goes.
Steel2Velvet Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 I change my vote! I change my vote! I thought III was II and got them mixed up. II was my first Zep intro also and still feel it contains the best group of songs. "The Lemon Song" alone makes it a classic and "Ramble On" contains my alltime favorite bass work.
RyanTurtle Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 I also forgot to mention that "What is and what should never be" is one of my favorite songs ever.
_Laurie_ Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 "Ramble On " is likely my favorite , but then I've never been cursed with common sense ... That's my favorite too!
_jr_ Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 Tough decision between II and Houses. I went with Houses.
Jugband_Blues Posted November 12, 2005 Report Posted November 12, 2005 i voted for II. i love "Thank You" "Ramble On" and "What Is and What Should Never Be". very, very though decsion though.
