edna Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 Was it too easy or are you too good, TenYears? Up to you now...
TenYearsGone Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 I used to think I was pretty hot s**t 'til I joined Songfacts...there are so many brilliant people here. But thank you Edna Funny thing about Cheap Trick, I never liked them when they were popular in late '70's - early 80's. But I have seen them in concert a couple of times recently and they did great shows...and have a very loyal following. Another thing I respect about them is they are still together as the original four guys And I did not know about the Double Fanatsy sessions...thanks for that info, Edna enough rambling..... 1. Blue-eyed soulsters of the mid-late sixties. 2. New York City. 3. Refused to tour on bills that were not racially integrated.
edna Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 No, you´re definitelly good... and so is Cheap trick!!! Mow, people coming home again and I just could get into songfacts one minute ago... it was collapsed for me all day... I´ll try to guess tomorrow if nobody did before...
_jr_ Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 I´ll try to guess tomorrow if nobody did before... God, I love this woman.
fidelityfiend Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 TYG - is it the Righteous Brothers?

Jugband_Blues Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 I'm pretty sure chandler was hendrix's manager, but is the answer slade? i think chandler produced that movie they did.
edna Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 Yes, Spenca, it´s Slade! Good! Chandler was Hendrix´s manager and also a former Animal, till he became also their manager. Your turn now, if you want to...
Jugband_Blues Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 Thanks Enda, This band: 1. Had a former Beatle as a memeber. And; 2. All the band members had the same fake last name. hope this is enough. im sure someone'll get it, everyone here's much smarter than i am.
edna Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 The Travelling Willburys? Another one: 1) Formed in Memphis, early 60s 2) Four of them died tragically 3) Backed Isaac Hayes
TenYearsGone Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 Booker T. & the MG's? I know drummer was killed. Anyway must be them. new one: 1. Brit underground 80's/90's band. 2. Drummer killed in car crash. 3. Music often described as "modern Doors."
edna Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 Booker T. & the MG's? I know drummer was killed. Anyway must be them. new one: 1. Brit underground 80's/90's band. 2. Drummer killed in car crash. 3. Music often described as "modern Doors." No, the others... so your question goes after, TenYears!
TenYearsGone Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 not Hanoi Rocks the term "underground" may throw you off track...They maybe crossed over to mainstream, a little.
edna Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 Echo & the Bunnymen? Drummer died either in a car or motorcycle crash... TYG, you still didn´t give me your right nswer... it wasn´t Booket T &the MG´s, though they used to play together... very much the same, but you must say it: The... ... .
TenYearsGone Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 Sorry H you are correct with Echo and The Bunnyboys.....not Booker T? I was pretty sure about that one...hmmmmm, let me think a minute. :: :: ::
edna Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 Big hint: Otis died in the same plane... You know, I knew the drummer of Echo... we made a concert for them and he was lovely, and so handsome... I remember we spent a whole afternoon talking and having some drinks before a rehearsal... I was very sad when I knew about that, shortly after. More hint: The B.. K..
edna Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 Good, the Bar-Kays! They were part of the Stax Tour, with Booker T and the MG´s, playing with Otis Redding in their last concert... in fact, the surviving members joined the MGs. Now, post yours new one, TenYears!
