Earth-Angel
The Everly Brothers? Must be them, Nazareth covered "Love Hurts", Linda covered "Bowling Green" and 5th dimension covered "Let it be me".
bazooka
You got it, angel ! But When Will I Be Loved was the Linda Ronstadt cover I had in mind. I just learned a short while ago that Love Hurts was an Everly Brothers song. I don't think I've ever heard their original version.
Earth-Angel
The Everly Brothers could sing anything and make it sound good... The original and the cover sound pretty similar (minus the guitars), there's a sound clip in the first CD tracklist off Amazon. I shall have to think a bit about a link question, I'm not particularly good at this - bear with me!

"musically", you say? bazooka will almost admit to being stumped.
Earth-Angel
Please don't say that Bazooka, makes me think I have made an enormous mistake and am going to be red-faced when all is revealed... When I say musically, I meant to clarify as Peaches said that they had balding band members, and it did make my original post look very open-ended and unclear. When I say musically, it is related directly to the music 'collections'. I have checked again and I believe I am correct...
