Kevin
5 Points to Bluesboy and 1 to swlabr and Kevin (clever to participate for that point!). You don't leave a guy much choice when the questions are all over my head today ! Austrailian disco favorites !?!?
OLD 55
I'll have to try to download a "Music fanfare" to use for each Winner! I went to a seminar in the early 80s once where all the "principals" were sitting on a dais, and we all sat in silence while the "Theme From Rocky" was played - presumably as a motivational tool. The song was the only good part of the seminar unfortunately. :: UPDATED POINTS: Brad37732 59 Kevin28776 56 Elvish 36 miamisammy 29 edna 26 Windy1 23 UncleJoe 19 Laurie35451 16 jrownsdega 15 swlabr 12 katie sane 9 bluesboy 6 Jenny 6 rico 5 Annabelle 5 earth-angel 5 bazooka 5 HDThoreau 3 TrampledUnderFoot 2 addictedtoclassic 2 Foxy1983 1 Tenacious Peaches 1 ............................................................ bazooka
Hi Bazooka. Is that for real? We never heard them down here. Would I make up a disco group? Barrabas listed number 40 of the 100 Greatest Disco Artists, outranking both The Hues Corporation (number 48) and Australian faves The Ritchie Family (number 72). OLD 55
George Harrison that Rocky impression only lasts about 10 seconds anyway. :coolio:CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN ROCKY/BLUESBOY . Famous Last Words: I said to my Wife "I haven't read the newspaper today, so I'll put on a difficult Question for my friends and have a bit of a break". Too Easy! Well done, 5 Points to you and it looks like swlabr knew it too (2 Points to her, Honorable Mention). Here's a NEW QUESTION: WHICH TOP 10 SONG HAS THE LONGEST PAUSE FOR BREATH evident in it (and which Artist/Group sang it) (I sure know some weird stuff, don't I). Must be one he/she/they sang at a pretty fast pace. No, not "Witchdoctor" - that's sped up. I'll update the points later.
OLD 55
Would I make up a disco group? Barrabas listed number 40 of the 100 Greatest Disco Artists, outranking both The Hues Corporation (number 48) and Australian faves The Ritchie Family (number 72). You're a Beauty! How could I have doubted you? The Ritchie Family weren't REALLY a favorite in Oz. "The Best Disco In Town" was their only hit here. I might start a thread of "Favorite Disco Songs" (unless one already exists). Let's see: Lady Marmalade, Funkytown, Le Freak? They're 3 I'd put in.
