edna
Donovan, John Wetton and Toto... very good songs? Wetton was a member of Asia, also with King Crimson and a sessionman too... Toto was a band formed by experimented sessionmen who had played with many bands before... Donovan played with the Jeff Beck group in the late 60´s... has it got anything to do with the answer??? I think you're correct with question A. I thought and searched and thought and searched again and that song never entered my mind. I'm going to stop with that one now and just in time, too. My brain was overloading. On another note: Question B is all mine Sammy, so "Eat My Dust", dude! :happybanana: :happybanana: :happybanana:

The Ray Stevens one just came to me..."But it was too late; she'd already been mooned". And I'd have to say I'm right with the continents one, too. And there's still two weeks left in the month. So, don't count your chickens just yet....Brad.

I only count one chicken, Sammy and he's getting on my nerves. I think I'll go choke him. But first, I'm going to go look at the sizzling girls thread. OLD 55
I'm just heading out to Church and a meeting afterwards (hope it's short) but I just thought I'd congratulate sammy for A (Ethel)and C (Continents)and Brad for B (Davy Crockett). OLD 55
Quote Sammy: " Yeah, I figured you had Question B , but I put up an answer anyway. You never know...Good Thinking. You're the only one who participated in ALL 3 questions! :coolio:CONGRATULATIONS BRAD!!! "Ballad Of Davy Crockett" it is from the 1955 Walt Disney series starring Fess Parker, although his version only made #5. He also went on to star with Ed Ames (of the Ames Brothers)in "Daniel Boone". .......................................................... :coolio:CONGRATULATIONS X 2 SAMMY!!! A " The Ray Stevens one just came to me..."But it was too late; she'd already been mooned".It certainly was Ethel from his novelty #1 "The Streak". C And I'd have to say I'm right with the continents one, too. Yes, and 2 points also go to Edna for mentioning ASIA/John Wetton. Donovan's "Atlantis" is a fictional Continent (although some learned people believe it MAY really have existed), and of course that VERY underrated Band Toto's big Hit "Africa". "And there's still two weeks left in the month. So, don't count your chickens just yet....Brad." Ah Sammy! You went to Church!!! Today's sermon was on LAZARUS . (That'd be the second greatest comeback of all time, wouldn't it). OLD 55
NEW QUESTION One about MY favorite Artist of the 1960s (not including Group members, so that narrows it down a little). He/she was a singer/songwriter and also produced some fine acts. He/she was primarily famous in the early 60s and then into the later 70s. He/she was very diverse in choice of material, combining self penned songs with covers of old R&B greats, Country, Soul, Rock, Motown, etc. songs. WHO is my favourite 60s Singer? :guitar:
