lucylooloo Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 hey, whats the most embarrassing cd that you own?
_jr_ Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 The soundtrack for the movie "The Bodyguard". I had to go look at my cds to find one. I'm not even sure how I got it. I can't stand Whitney Houston.
lucylooloo Posted September 30, 2004 Author Report Posted September 30, 2004 haha mine is WORSE! ....its the Disney Aladdin soundtrack!! hahahah
Crazy Don Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Hanson--Middle of Nowhere Hey, I got it for free from a record club and I sort of like "MMMBop"?
MindCrime Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Ace of Base - The Sign OMG! Lmao, Actually I used to have this sitting around in my car along with a whole crate of s*1tty Marria Carey, Wilson Phillips, & Whitney Houston (including Jr's pick) albums. They belonged to my then girlfriend, & she never took them back, I wonder if this was means of revenge? I had to suffer through embarrassment everytime somebody saw those sitting in the CD box next to the passenger seat. Worst album that I own: Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack on vinyl , I got it as a young kid, because I liked the BeeGee's at the time.
XXX Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I had a Marilyn Manson album for less than an hour once. This was back in the day when Tower Records had a more lenient return policy, which I took advantage of ::
_jr_ Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I'm gonna give this thread a few stars, simply because it's funny how almost everyone has tacked on a little disclaimer explaining why they had the cd. LOL Funny stuff.
MindCrime Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 The soundtrack for the movie "The Bodyguard". I had to go look at my cds to find one. I'm not even sure how I got it. I can't stand Whitney Houston. Quote from Wayne's World: "If you lived in the suburbs, it was automatically issued to your mailbox, it even came with samples of tide."
_Annabelle_ Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 'S Club' by S Club 7 Also the first one I ever bought. To this day I'm not quite sure what I was thinking.
lucylooloo Posted October 1, 2004 Author Report Posted October 1, 2004 well i am mostly a rock fan myself but you never know how much fun it is to do a 1-3 hour drive listening to just disney soundtrack cds, i did that once and let me tell you i never will watch the Little Mermaid and be the same again!
Earth-Angel Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I have a 3 disk BONKERS set, but they were a gift from a friend so I can't get rid of them!
Steven6987 Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I believe I beat you all with my 'Rolf Rules OK' CD, a compilation of the greatest hits of Aussie entertainer Rolf Harris!!
MindCrime Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Oh wait a minute, I forgot I still own Christina Aguilera's Stripped album, I didn't actually buy this though, it was given to me as a gift.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I found a best of (and I use that term very loosely) Michael Bolton in with my CDs and I swear I don't know how it got there. Seriously. ::
edna Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 The soundtrack for the movie "The Bodyguard". I had to go look at my cds to find one. I'm not even sure how I got it. I can't stand Whitney Houston. Same thing happened to many, as I can see. In my case I even had the video, and I just gave vinyls and videos to five or six people I know. They were very glad! I received lots of records when I was a rock journalist and I often had to get rid of many things I don´t like, for instance, an album of Prince (the one where he changed his name for symbol). I apologize, I never liked Prince...
Jenny Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Oh, I don't know. There are a lot of CDs I don't listen to that much anymore, but would I be embarrassed if someone saw them? Don't know. Since most of you are rock fans, you would probably wonder about 1/2 my record collection...lots of forgotten '90's bands: Spin Doctors, Gin Blossoms, Soul Asylum and not one but two Hootie Cds
scott Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Quote from Wayne's World: "If you lived in the suburbs, it was automatically issued to your mailbox, it even came with samples of tide." That was actually a reference to 'Frampton Comes Alive' not 'The Bodyguard'. Cassandra said 'Hey look I just got a lot of albums at a garage sale!' Wayne: "Excellent" Cassandra: "Look, Jerry and the Pacemakers" Wayne: "You know, I bet that a lot of them actually have pacemakers now, ironic isn't it" Cassandra:(another album, I don't remember) and then "Frampton Comes Alive, have you heard of it" Wayne:"Insert MC's quote here"

I think he was just applying it to that particular CD - fits into the same category IMO.
lucylooloo Posted October 1, 2004 Author Report Posted October 1, 2004 i was actually leafing through cds and i decided to listen to my aladdin soundtrack, and i must say it brought tears to my eyes remembering the good ole days when everything was disney...anyone feel like watching the movie? anyone at all?
MindCrime Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 I'm sure MC knows that. I think he was just applying it to that particular CD - fits into the same category IMO. They also used it on the show as a reference to Fleetwood Mac's Rumors album, they had a real knack of typecasting their own jokes.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 That's a lot of friggin' quotes. I feel like I'm going down the rabbit hole.
