RonJonSurfer
I love this song! One of my favorites from Bowie. I was kind of shocked it didn't make the TT previously. Great sax part by David Sanborn.
RonJonSurfer
What??? It still didn't make it??? I nominated it so many times... this one will be high in my list It should be in the TT just for George Harrison's searing slide guitar solo...it is a great protest song that doesn't pull any punches. Lucky
Lucky, sorry for the Soul Survivor's repeat. I must have missed the song on the list (there are so many!) but I do check them first. Sing Me Back Home - Keith Richards (a great Merle Haggard song) This Old Heart Of Mine - Rod Stewart/Ronnie Isley Steel, it's quite ok .... I know all too well how easy it is to miss a song. Heck, I did it right here. By the way, great noms. I'll be happy to vote for both (if I have room that is). I was pleased to see Merle honored at the Kennedy Center this week. Nice to see that Keith appreciates him too. (it's a great song)

bluesboy
I started to listen to the autoplay playlist till I got to a Dylan's Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts. Why bother putting in a cover version from some yo-yo? How am I suppose to analyze and determine the order of my list with a yo-yo cover version of a song? I guess I'll have to click on each poster's link.

I thought I had ferreted out the covers I am completely unfamiliar with that song but I should have known it wasn't Dylan. I will see if I can find a replacement. Edna's link is from Goear. That was her intended link. It may not be on YT unless it's by a cover but I will check again Edit: The only originals I can find have had they sound removed by Sony. Sorry. I did remove it from the list tho so the rest should be ok.
bluesboy
Sorry to vent... There's probably no original for the playlist. Maybe a posting of what's not on the playlist, where we have to go back and click on the poster's nominations. Thanks Lea

miamisammy29
1. Love Gun - Kiss (The ULTIMATE KISS tune!) 2. Rocky Raccoon - Beatles (One of the few Beatles songs that I would rank above a Stones song.) 3. What A Shame - The Stones (One of the few Stones songs that I would rank below a Beatles song.) 4. The Entertainer - Billy Joel (Very few songs have more truth in them than this one.) 5. By The Sword - Slash (I kept hearing this one on the radio, and I thought to myself, "Wow, I love this tune! It sounds a lot like some early 70's hard rock!" About a month later, I found out it was my man, Slash! (Bow to the man, everybody!) 6. Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny) - Elton John (Respect to the Man on this, the anniversary.) 7. Sing Me Back Home - Keith Richards (One word...KEEEEEEEIIIIITTTTHHH!!) 8. Devil Woman - Cliff Richard (No relation to the above mentioned king...I don't think.) 9. Gimme Some Truth - John Lennon (No relation to Jack Lemmon....or Cliff Richard.) 10. Cherry Cherry - Neil Diamond (No relation to Lou Diamond Phillips.) Honorable Mention: Seals, Crofts, Orlando, Dawn, Skynyrd, Zappa, Blur
Lea
Thats alright I'm glad you pointed it out because there were a couple of other problems as well. YT was telling me the "Add To", option was unavailable the other night and when I went back in and added the rest of the list it didn't add a couple. As far as I can tell, Edna's songs are the only ones not on the playlist now. Normally they would be but YT either has them blocked or their not on YT. If anyone finds anymore problems with the list please let me know

Normally they would be but YT either has them blocked or their not on YT. Don't worry, Lea, anyways, my noms never make it I nominate "Lily, etc" through Goear because Youtube has blocked Bob Dylan. And the Fleetwood Mac song is on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U22-fl_aDug But never mind, I wasn't expecting to win a prize... I think some people know those songs as they are quite famous and have been nominated many times before... others won't bother to listen to stuff they don't know so no use in posting the vid or the mp3...
