edna Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Same thing here And here. Some of the new posts are invisible when they're the first post of a page...
edna Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 I agree too Shawna, seeing my actual birthdate staring at me is a little weird. Why don't we just put the day and month? This way we can celebrate birthdays without having to say how old we are... (I'll be 55 in December... ) I'll check on the cake Edna. That piece of digital pastry is a wonderful thing. Indeed...
MindCrime Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 I've never revealed my age, so it doesn't bother me, but I understand how others would care.
edna Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 I've never revealed my age, so it doesn't bother me, but I understand how others would care. ...but we love to post cakes and vids and pics for you... ...even if we don't care if you're 1 or 99...
Lucky Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 I think most of us fine with our age showing (54 woohoo!), it's just disconcerting to see your actual DOB staring at you. A little too much info for the general display. Still had the red database error this morning, over 8 hours later.
Carl Posted November 30, 2010 Author Report Posted November 30, 2010 At least this Database error is consistent. I sent Couch a note. It looks like we had the birthday display on the posts turned on for the mods, but everyone else didn't see them. I flipped them off, so the birthdays shouldn't show up under the Avatars for anyone but are available in the public profiles.
couchtomatoe Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Database error is gone.. sorry I had to sleep sometime
Tenacious_Peaches Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Database error is gone.. sorry I had to sleep sometime Unacceptable, sir. No rest for the wicked. [smallest]Thanks for all you've done and are continuing to do.[/smallest]
TheLizard Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 I just shouted in the shoutbox and I see that you can now delete your own shouts. Nice touch.
couchtomatoe Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 thats a permission based thing.. so if Carl turns it off...
MindCrime Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 ^ I thought we could before, I remember doing it. _______________________________________ I have a question about video posting, Lea had said that she couldn't see the videos that are posted using the [ youtube] command. I can see them just fine, even when I log out and browse as a guest.
Lea Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 Is there something different I need to do to post images now? It doesn't work the old way and nothing I've tried seems to work. Help I'm trying to post from PB... Edit: I can add images to the boards but not to PT's. I used to be able to. Not a top priority so no worries. But when you get the chance to add it again...
skybluesky Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 What about the user page/blog? I don't think anyone has asked about that. You can adjust the blog settings, but will there be a place to actually blog?
Shawna Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 Is anyone else having trouble with the italics and bold buttons? I highlight the word, like usual, click on the button, and [[object HTMLTextAreaElement]]this[/[object HTMLTextAreaElement]] is what happens.
Shawna Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 okay, so why have I been singled out for these dubious honors of not being able to do the stuff I used to be able to do. WHY IS GOD PUNISHING MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Carl Posted December 3, 2010 Author Report Posted December 3, 2010 Maybe God hates your browser. I'll check with Couch to see if there's a way to remedy. Lea, the PT image issue might be an admin setting - we'll take a gander.
Lucky Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 Is anyone else having trouble with the italics and bold buttons? I highlight the word, like usual, click on the button, and [[object HTMLTextAreaElement]]this[/[object HTMLTextAreaElement]] is what happens. no no me neither me neither I just like to drive you crazy.
couchtomatoe Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 Shawna that is indicating that your Javascript is not working in Firefox. In fact all your issues including the deletions is indicating that.. are you on a Mac? What type of system are you running on? I am using FireFox 3.6 as well and have no issues..
Shawna Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 oooo snap! it's quite possible (probable)... do you know how I can fix the javascript? Do I have to delete FF and reinstall it maybe?
Zhivko Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 Hi Shawna, On your browser top menu: Tools->Options->Content tab select the box saying: Enable JavaScript. This should do the job for you. If you still experience problems like the ones you had it's something else not the JavaScript.
bluesboy Posted December 4, 2010 Report Posted December 4, 2010 I hope, if possible, you can keep the ages available in the avatar window and the birthdates back in My Fusion public profile.

I looked at that box a few days ago and it's already checked. What else could it be? Any ideas?
