Shawna
This list is a to-the-mat sort of list... so many classics that it'll be a nailbiter to see which one muscles its way to the top. I've got my money on "Imagine."

CanAm
There are so many great songs on this list that it was hard to narrow the choices down to just ten. 1. Let It Be - The Beatles 2. The Sounds Of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel 3. Hotel California - The Eagles 4. Proud Mary - CCR 5. It's Too Late - Carole King 6. Band On The Run - Paul McCartney & Wings 7. You've Got A Friend - James Taylor 8. Drift Away - Dobie Gray 9. Cat's In The Cradle - Harry Chapin 10. Imagine - John Lennon I can't believe Imagine only squeaked in at number 10. It just demonstrates the quality of the songs on Cyberjudge's list.
Kevin
This is certainly an All-Star lineup - this reads more like a greatest songs of all time list! I know pretty much all of these well, so I'll get to voting right away. If you died around '73 , yes , indeed .

Shawna
The way I typically make my choices with these lists is to first write down the songs I feel qualify (for me). Trouble with this list is I found that I was writing down every song that's on it. Whittling was a very tough project for me this time. And so it goes. 1. Brandy ~ Looking Glass 2. Joy To The World ~ 3 Dog Night 3. Bridge Over Troubled Water ~ S&G 4. American Pie ~ Don MacLean 5. You've Got A Friend ~ Sweet Baby James 6. It's Too Late ~ Carole King 7. Sounds of Silence ~ S&G 8. Imagine ~ John Lennon 9. I'll Be There ~ Jackson 5 10. Home ~ Daughtry

Uncle Joe
1-Drift Away-Dobie Gray A salute to my favorite music. 2-American Pie-Don McLean...Seems to be a theme. 3-(Sittin' on) The Dock of the Bay-Otis Redding-Otisss, my main man!! 4-You've Got a Friend-James Taylor Carole King wrote a great song. 5-Stand By Me-Ben E. King Good movie, too. 6-Bridge Over Troubled Water-Simon & Garfunkel Seems to be a theme, eh? 7-Lean on Me-Bill Withers Definitely a theme. WOW, 2 Withers' songs. It's a good thing that Just The Two Of Us isn't on Cyber's list. I'd have voted for that one, too. 8-Imagine-John Lennon If only. 9-The Sounds of Silence-Simon & Garfunkel Shhh, listen You can almost hear it. 10-The Way It Is-Bruce Hornsby & The Range Aint that the truth!! Excellent list Judge. Caught me in a melancholy mood. Maybe I should've waited til another day to vote.

Steel2Velvet
1] Sorry Celine missed my ten. We may be the only two here that listen to her. I also have a lot of respect for her enormous talent. And I do like the Titanic theme that Cyberjudge put on his list, but the list was sooo heavy with great songs, Celine missed my TT also.
