  1. Pinkfloyd....love your reply on Fleetwood Mac! That group definitely has amazing talent...you said everything that I would of said, I'm just not very good at writing these things, so way to go Pink!
  2. I was totally exhausted as I entered my apartment... But I noticed my cat had passed in front of me exactly twice in the same exact positions. Almost as if the scene was rewinded. I glanced at the mirror and realised I looked like Keanu Reeves and everything around me was shades of green. The green soon turned into a red and orange swirl all around me. Was this really happening, or was it all a dream?
  3. Oh Elish, he's adorable! they sure do take alot out of ya, but it's definitely worth it! congrats!
  4. Peter Frampton's "Do You Feel Like We Do" is pretty cool Tommy James "Crimson and Clover" love that echo sound too

  6. Ally McBeal!....love when she sees the dancing baby's too! Oh, dad, I swear, I'm not on drugs. Well then what the hell's wrong with you? Well, I accidentally... I was upstairs, and I-I-I... Okay, you know what? I'm on drugs.

  8. I agree with jr...I wasn't sure about the title either...the poem is very deep and inspirational, but the title is just too simple for that kind of poem. I'm not very good at poetry, but i do like reading it...hubby writes me poems, and songs all the time...other than the title, i do like it, it does tend to ramble a bit, but I like it....good job with the vocab! i wish i could write like that!
  9. hey shadow, welcome to songfacts. jenny is right, this site is an addiction, especially if you love music like we do!
  10. i just found out it was the counting crows version of big yellow taxi that i heard....i like it!
  11. i heard the cover of joni mitchell's "big yellow taxi" the other day. it was pretty good, but i dont know who the artist was...i think it was a fairly recent group...anyone know?...
  12. I saw the stones waaaaay back in '79, and santana opened up for them....the best concert i ever saw....they certainly put on a great show...at the time, i think my girlfriend paid 15 bucks a ticket...imagine that, and that was for 3 bands, eddie money opened for santana...but then again, that was '79....her brother knew the show would sell out...he bought 4 tickets and sold them for 100 bucks each...and that was in '79!. so if i had the money to go see them again, i'd go....they are definitely worth it!!!
  13. all performed on Sesame Street singing the alphabet song :: I know, it's kind of a lame question, but i thought it was different...ok, someone else can go.
  14. I also wondered that too....through out the song it sounds like it's describing the heartache of slavery, and then there is this one line that I wondered about: Lily Belle, your hair is golden brown I've seen your black man comin' round Swear by God I'm gonna cut him down! this is the verse that i wondered about...let me know what you think I'm guessing it's just a white man's view, supporting, and speaking for the blacks....
  15. I totally agree Joe...and PinkFloyd, way to go! glad you got through it ok...and warning all others about the danger of it....good job!

  18. Lyrics for: Southern Man Southern man better keep your head Don't forget what your good book said Southern change gonna come at last Now your crosses are burning fast Southern man I saw cotton and I saw black Tall white mansions and little shacks. Southern man when will you pay them back? I heard screamin' and bullwhips cracking How long? How long? Southern man better keep your head Don't forget what your good book said Southern change gonna come at last Now your crosses are burning fast Southern man Lily Belle, your hair is golden brown I've seen your black man comin' round Swear by God I'm gonna cut him down! I heard screamin' and bullwhips cracking How long? How long?

  20. I agree Jr...there was some really good music of the 50's. Just think what would of become of Buddy Holly if he had lived....such a great loss, he definitely had talent....
  21. One Toke Over The Line....brewer and shipley
  22. Breakfast In America....i agree.....great album
  23. These stories about high school I've read have brought back memories for me also...just about everyday someone in our lunch room would play SATURDAY NIGHT by the Bay City Rollers. What's funny is that one kid in particular absoulutely did not like this song, because everytime it played, he would walk by the jukebox and give it a good swift kick LOL....it was funny, so from that day on, we would purposely play that song, every once in awhile, just to see this kid get up from his chair, in a rage, and kick that old juke box....
