Music for Intimacy.

Alright..... Time to shake it up a bit, as it were. This forum needs some spicing up. For 'those moments', present a soundtrack for those nights when everything is perfect, and you are with the one you love.

"Take It Off"- Kiss. (Hey, it's playful. "Wave your panties in the air, lick your lips and shake your hair. Uh-huh"). Leaves no doubt as to what is on my mind.

"Black Magic Woman"- Santana. It simmers, allows for playfulness while finishing up the dishes..

"Open Up The Red Box" - "Moments In Love" - Simply Red and Art Of Noise. Good for a relaxing hot bath avec vin, your choice, Blanc, or Rouge

"Can't Get Enough Of Your Love" / "Love's Theme" / "You're My Everything" Barry White - Yeah, like I am gonna elaborate. Hell, let the whole "The Icon Is Love" album play. Twice, maybe. Barry is the key when it comes to squishy-squashy time.

"Perhaps Love"- "Con Ti Partiro" John Denver w/ Placido Domingo / Andrea Bocelli. Mmmmmm. Settling back to Earth on the petals of roses.

"Variations on the Kanon"- Johann Pachelbel. Puts you on the smooth slide to a blissful slumber.

Le Quattro Stagioni- Vivaldi's "Four Seasons". Gets you through the night.

Anyone care to contribute?

Signing off for the night and firing up the stereo. Heeeeeeeeeheeeeeeeee.

Ken.

Hmmm. How about music by composers like Ennio Morricone and Henri Mancini? Then you can skim over your lounge/Jazz muzak and find some Esquivel and Ray Conniff :headphones: But if you're collection is sorely lacking in that dept., then put the two CD set compilation called Lady Sings The Blues. That one or anything by Al Green :afro:

Her's the albums I play the most:

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless

Spiritualized - Pure Phase, Ladies and Gentelman

Mercury Rev - Deserter's Songs

Enigma 2

Crystal Method - Vegas

Stereolab - Dots and Loops, Aluminium Tunes

The Cure - Kiss Me

Air - Moon Safari, Walkie Talkie

I had a gierlfriend that always brought 'OK Computer' and 'Wish You Were Here' with her. They work pretty good too.

Alright..... Time to shake it up a bit, as it were.

A mod shaking it up...a bit ironic...kind of like today when I was driving, and it was a 20 mph speed limit, and I was going 23, and a cop sped right past me, at at least 30. No sirens or anything.

"Mods" can't shake it up? :/

Well, not really. Shaking it up would involve making an authority figure angry. I suppose a mod could make a regular songfactor angry, but then the mods would have to delete what they said, making it so they shook themselves up...if that makes any sense...which it probably doesn't. And just so you don't think I'm bashing the mods, I don't really consider "shaking it up" a good thing. An example of shaking it up would be Chriswaters saying an offensive joke about the hurricane victims. That's obviuosly a bad thing, and it shook things up.

This collection is perfect intimate music...or at least in my experience! Especially 'A Moment With You'.

A Moment With You

hey this won't take much time

we won't touch, we'll just wait for signs

and nothing was further from my mind

than this moment with you

but if you'd only told me baby

I would have made some other plans

if I'd only seen it sooner

but what a way with your hands you had

I wanted that moment with you

I know that is wrong

but "if you need me, I'm here", turns me on

I can't help thinking it's a miracle you're here

I can't help thinking it's a miracle

say, don't waste much time

we don't touch, do we baby?

but still my hands are tied

for that moment with you

but if you'd only told me baby

I would have made some other plans

if I'd only seen it sooner

but what a way with your hands you had

I wanted that moment with you

you know that I'm strong

and I've no reason to fear, am I wrong?

I can't help thinking it's a miracle you're here

I can't help thinking it's a miracle

I can't help thinking it's a american

I can't help thinking it's a miracle

I can't help thinking it's a miracle you're here

you can't keep holding it in when it's something good

get up, get up

you can't keep holding it in when it's something good

get up, get up

and who can you trust? dealing out justice

with a minimum of fuss

who baby

dealing out justice...

Sunny Weather Lover (Bacharach and David)

Age Of Miracles

Where My Lips Have Been (sizzlin')

Friends Can Be Lovers (written by Lisa Stansfield and Lisa on background vocals)

Love Will Find A Way (duet with Whitney Houston)

Much Too Much (a Diane Warren song)

Til The End Of Time

The Woman That I Am

Fragile (great version of Sting's song with Darlene Love on background vocals)

I Sing At Dawn
